Hey guys, just joined the game - looking forward to my first race I have a quick question - currently is there any tool which will help manage my team long-term (weekly training updates) + roughly help with race rating (type system). - I'm currently setting up for the race on 7th (since there is a 3 day ongoing tour I can't join for 6th), and I know it has 2:1:1 Flat:Mountain:Downhill - so I'm looking for players in my team who have highest skills in those + Steering and Balanced for a decent race. Leadership for my leader. I don't think I can attack since that requires higher Sprint + Time Trial (which I don't have with my shitty riders ) A lot of data to process, and would help to understand all this better if I had a tool where it was all collected. - Also, is there no mentor system in this game? Would appreciate some help along the way. - What lvl starting coach should I get? 12? - Anyone recommend base prices for merchandise I should buy and then sell. - Should I look to transfer in some young 10k-20k riders to add my team? Any other tips would be appreciated.

jadaxWelcome to the game. You should start with a trainer level 15. Prices for merchadise should be 15-20-40-30. You should buy older guys, they are cheap and often good enough to win races an get you more money. First season is to get to know the game and earn lots of money. You will need it later in the game. So don't spend so much money on buying rider. And don't take a youthscout. Costs way too much money. We do have some mentors in the game. What is your native language?

OK, I don't know an English natvie speaker mentor, so just ask your questions here. Most managers speak proper English.

Ok no worries, guess I'll have to go it alone for the most part.
Btw, I was going through the calendar to see which type of training I should concentrate on, and I'm thinking between Flat, Hill or Downhill. But I may be wrong here, is there any attribute I should concentrate on this first season. Just something to get started off with.
Down the line I will understand the game and will ofc know what type of trainer to get.

Yep already read that But it doesn't say which skill is recommended to start off on - I know that probably depends on the calendar that season, but since it's a big investment for a newbie I was hoping someone had a recommendation.

Maybe you better wait with the trainer untillyou bought a few riders and then check what skills they lack. You should not do downhill. Do you have a 18 year old with good steering/balance?

Yes, Click. You should attack anyway, starting at the first attack point. Attackers almost always beat the bunch in Peloton. And in division 5 most other riders will be shitty too, so you might get lucky. You can ask here (probably the fastest way to get answers), but if you prefer personal communication there are some mentors you can send questions, for example me (En Danseuse in 3:2). Flat or Hill are fine. You can also choose Time Trial, good allround ability (attackers use it).

Do you have a 18 year old with good steering/balance? Nope, but a 19yr old with 14-10 Steering-Balance. My 18yr olds have 6-10 and 5-12. Thanks for the help Poekie, I downloaded the spreadsheet and will go through it now. And I'm a American-Indian, who happens to have lived in South Africa for a while Wow, going through this spreadsheet is tough. Going to have to go through it slowly to try and understand it all.

Hi Jadax, nice to have you playing peloton. Good luck. If I were you I would sell those 18y riders this way you get a good money to build your team and that money give's you financial stability.

Hill could be better only if you have experience and know what cyclist to train -> probably hill cyclists have better prices on transfer list.

Yep I went with flat since that seems to be the most common phase in most races. My team is quite bad (as is probably the case with most newbies).
The best rider I have is 2-1-3-2-1-1 Flat-hill-mountain-downhill-sprint-tt. I haven't considered secondaries for now.

Actually all your riders have 12 total primary skills (since 2 flat can be 2.0 but also 2.9). But apart from 18 year olds, that is too low to be competitive. If things go right, next season you will have very few of your current riders left.
