I especially like the guy with the name Ferreira. Guess Helder is not going to sell him, not even for 10M.

Ferreira even won in 2:1!!! What a rider, winning in 2:1 and 2:2 in the same tour

And so'll be it. My team's name in the red position. At least Trapper and Hammers had the decency to wait until after tomorrow. Well done Merlres. Great race. Seems you've got some pretty nice youngsters. Yes I am training good young rider. But I also will win the giro with Naz

Seems there is no more activity on this forum?
As my team is in an almost definitive relegation place, I guess it will be very hard to survive the 2nd Div.
I had to sell some of my better cyclists (bit older too), so staying in 2nd Div is almost impossible. But surely I'll try to win another stage.

Tour de France and dope:
From the top 25 in the GC of the TdF 12 cyclists had a fitness training.
Blijleven, Engelborghs, Acerbi, Maggiore, Trgo, Cron, De Haen, Zevenbergen, Gherschon, Wulf, Borrego, Schacht. All cyclists of the teams: Gonzalez, De Kasseienstoempers WC Bloedzak, Hammers and ASA Fun.
They will most likely do the same after the next update. So it's hard to compete them.
IMHO it's like using EPO or a transfusion or another kind of dope. Ofcourse it's a tactical choice of the managment.
But fitness training should be banned during a tour. I wonder if it's programmable.
I'm pretty sure some will agree, others don't care about it and surely will have a big smile.

Chakra, since it is a possibility in the game, it could be a tactical choice. I am normally not training my older riders, but due to several injuries I had two training spots left and I could choose either to train 23 riders or Engelborghs and Zevenbergen on fitness.
If I do that again next update depends on the situation. But it is a tactical choice. If you train your riders on fitness a lot, they don't improve as much as other riders and at the end they will not be able to compete.
My strategy is right after I won 1:1 to sell my older riders and train only younger riders. I use oldies to win points and earn money so I can afford an expensive trainer to train my youngsters. And the only way to earn money in big tours seems training fitness if you want to go for the GC (and this is the first time in three seasons that I try the GC in a big tour by the way).
But I understand your point.

I don't use fitness and I won the Giro and I still think my rider will fight for the GC. You just need to find the right tactics to make points

That is correct. But you need the best cyclist for it too. ;-)
I don't blaim them that they use fitness.
I just find it should be banned to train fitness during a tour. Withour fitness training you need a damn good cyclist to compete the fitness cyclists.
I hope you or another non fitness training manager (e.g. Evcont, Trapper) can prove me wrong.

This is the first year I use this "training-on-fitness tactic". Especially, because the older guys do not train that well on "regular" terrains anymore. In stead, I accept the disadvantage of my good riders lagging behind in regular training. To be honest, strategically it would be more wise for me to avoid promotion (like other managers have done in the past), because I am not able to compete in 1:1 at all, which will probably result in forced sales of my best and most expensive riders, which in turn brings me back in division 2 very quickly.. I could also further decrease the skills of my trainer to save money. Having multiple tactics and strategies to choose from makes the game fun, I guess..

It is, but then it is important to set your long term strategy and stick to it.

I always "bet on multiple horses". That is my weakness. On the other hand, it is just for fun. And for me it still is!
