As my best rider in the recent youngstertour had 2 falls in the last race (so the results weren't what I was hoping for), I started paying some attention to the secondary skills. Now I have some questions about falls and flats:
1) Is it possible to have a fall or a flat tire in a timetrial (I've never seen it)? So actually, my question is: am I correct when I say that the balance/steering skills don't matter if you specialize a rider for timetrials?
2) When a rider has a fall, but he has a teammate to help, he stays in the peloton. Recently, I had a rider who attacked (so he was 20s ahead of the peloton) and fell. Suddenly, he was 40s behind the peloton. Because the helper wasn't in the same group, he didn't help him. So if he hadn't attacked, he would have been better off. Wouldn't it be more logical that the attacker loses time, but the helper from the peloton helps him stay there (so he loses only 20s instead of a minute)?

1) at the moment balnace and steering indeed aren't influencing ITT/TTT races. but maybe in the future ... (who am I kidding dont expect any updates soon)
2) yes that would be more logical , but my guess the extra code needed for that scenario isnt written (yet) ... again who ...)
