My team for the Vuelta isn't good either, so I certainly won't promote Happy to finish 2nd today with some less TT-cyclists and not even going all the way 100%

Some managers from div 2.2 had already been in div 1 and know that is very difficult so we have 3 kinds of managers in div 2: - the manager that wants the promotion (1m) - managers that fight to stay in div 2 (8m) - and managers that think div 2 is to strong and want to go to div 3 (3m)

Maybe you should ask yourself then, why a team that made a big name in winning TT's isn't even in the top 5 of your division today. And I know of atleast one other top team in your division who held back last time when he was about to promote. Probably the number 2 in 2.1 wants to promote (or just doesn't mind) but I wouldn't want to bet any money on that either. Also if I didn't knew that I would only contend for a handful of prices in 1.1, I wouldn't mind promoting too.

The problem is that cyclists in second division can win races while they won't even finish top-5 in first division

I am with Rarau in this discussion. I would like to promote back to 1:1 to fight with the best riders around. Every team will get their chances to win races in 1:1, although less so than in division 2. Besides that, it's a nice lesson in humility..

Back to the Vuelta, a fantastic result for me today Nistor going at 75% made a 2nd place in stage and took the 2 place overall with 89% fitness so in a good position to fight for the GC. I had tried to fight for GC in grand tours this season and without good results :S

Yes, it's pretty impressive how he went straight to the top in just one race. If he has allround skills, so not mostly flat, I don't know how anybody can fight him. Nastasia is my man, wonder if he can finish top-10

Nice allround race today. Our division was fast today. I did hope Jongeneel could survive the mountains, but that last part was too much. Maybe it would help if he lose some weight .
