Hi everybody! I'm new, coming from the highest division where I wasn't good enough I really have no idea about the teams here, or about the skill of cyclists, so I'm going to set a conservative goal: No relegation! My cyclists mainly focus on mountains and TT's. I also have a GC guy, Strassera. I also have a bunch of cyclists that can't so anything Last season I had a lot of injuries, I hope this season will be better (so I started today with a +3! ) Good luck to all and may the calender be available soon

Hello! I am also new, as the winner of 3:3 last season. I have a fairly balanced team, but (especially with the step up in competition) imagine I might do better in mixed terrain races, than either pure flat or pure mountain. I think I calculated I won 8/11 time jerseys of competitions I entered, I missed a few early small tours, and didn't enter the Giro One mountain jersey (it was a flat guy who won this too, ironically) and maybe 2/3 point jerseys? I only ended up with one cyclist in the division top 10 (a 6th iirc, for Loete), but 15 of my cyclists got at least 100 points, at least 10 won a race. It looks like we've been handed a tough division here, 9th and 10th from 1:1 and three division 3 winners. So 2:2 will have 11th, 12th, only one div3 winner and 3 second places. Grrr *curses the peloton gods* My goal is just attempting to avoid relegation! Seeing as I've ended up in the same division as Tossboom, I'm glad I got Benifei the other day, let's hope he lives up to expectations That's enough of a ramble for now, hopefully a few of us are active on the forums, aaand echo-ing the good luck sentiment.

Nice I already finished second in a mainly flat race. The mountain finish was in my advantage off course

I didn't get around to setting anything up today Fairly pleased with my 2nd yesterday though. It's unlikely I do anything on Saturday so overall an unspectacular first tour (and that's with only 8/12 teams). Maybe I can do something in tomorrow's race... Other 2:1 dudes, come outta the woodwork

You know what's annoying, just like in the Olympics...4th places! 3 of them in the past 4 stages, 2 of them tour races and I probably came 4th in most intermediate point/mountains too.
My tactics worked today though for my GC guy, we'll see how high he can finish.

Good news: Top-3 today. I hoped for a win, this is even better. Not anymore in the relegation zone! Bad news: Injury again. And Tirlea wins the tour very easy. He has 75% fitness left! If he goes 100% he probably wins the stage today :/ Wonder how we will keep him from winning many many tours. He can escape on flat stages and can follow on semi-mountain stages like today... What is his weakness?

indeed. I didn't try to win today, but was surprised to see how far down my cyclists were. Our top 9 were faster than 1:1, and the top 4 beat 2:2. Goodish tour overall for me - 4th, 9th and 13th in the GC and winning the team jersey (do we get points for that?) but wasn't close to winning any other jersey. I'm back out of the relegation zone for now after slipping into it earlier in the week though... After 2 weeks I guess we're starting to see where we stand, I'm glad I'm not way off the pace at least and can compete a bit. Maybe I'll get lucky and even win a race at some point Going to be a very close division by the looks of it anyway. Volta this week will be interesting, first proper mountains of the season.

My cyclist that finished 8th has 6 flat and 11 TT... Wonder what skills the winner has Maybe his mood also helped him, but anyway, I thought my 2nd cyclist at least would be top-5. Guess I don't have to focus on TT's this season. So 50% of my selection is useless Let's hope my mountainguys will do better

Does sprint have an impact on short TT's like this one?
In real life, sprinters can often do very well in prologues and short ITT's. This one was 10km... maybe it's coded so that a guy who was 6 flat, 7 TT and 7 sprint can beat a 6 flat, 11 TT, 3 sprint if the distance is short. Call it the prologue affect.
Or maybe you guys have a bunch of ace timetrialists.

Can I ask the skills of your winner, or do you want to keep them secret? (Just to know if it is just the mood, or actually better skills )
