The teams/cyclists that prepared for the new race engine, that should have been introduced at the beginning of this season, have a big disadvantage now. I really hope IP is able to make the engine start this weekend, so we will have a fair Giro. And also for the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon it's of big importance.

how is it that they would have a 'big' disadvantage? not saying it's not true, just curious for the answer

how is it that they would have a 'big' disadvantage? not saying it's not true, just curious for the answer Because that teams that prepared for it, started training TT at the beginning of last season. Now you see in the result that the mountain guys dominated this stage. If Genomico hasn't started training on TT, he probably had won this stage. I think that this is what he means. I agree with Genomico completely by the way. I did the same and Castilla y Leon is that kind of tour we did it for. It isn't really fair that if you announce it, and managers are adapting to it, that you just don't implement it. Of course I know that this is a free game and it is runned by people who have normal jobs and that they have to do it in their free, spare time. But next week is week 5 of the new season. Would it be too much if we expect it to be implemented this weekend?

I see what you mean. Myself I started off training TT in the beginning of peloton, without knowing about the new engine. I guess I'm also disadvantaged without knowing about it But I don't mind, as long as the game keeps running..

Yes, in the current engine TT is quite useless, while in the new engine it will be overpowered in the mountains according to the funraces. I've been training TT for over a season already with the idea to try to rule the mountain stages in the new engine, but while the old engine is still being used it means I'm one season behind the cyclists that continued mountain training (or started later with TT training).

I spoke to IP yesterday and he told that he will put the new engine working this weekend. Lets hope he do it.

Very happy to get one win this season - against such strong competition.
I agree with Genomico & others regarding the new race engine - the change was announced to happen at the start of this season and the delay is indeed unfair against those that took the time to experiment in fun races and prepare a long term strategy to have mountain riders with more TT. The game sometimes has its imperfections, but it has a lot going for it - so thanks for any ongoing improvements that IP and Nikeboy add to it. Even though it may disadvantage me, I hope the new race engine comes in soon.

I need to get some points quickly, or the job to finish 8th or higher will become impossible... The problem is that with the new engine, I won't win mountain TT's anymore. Those will be for stronger cyclists who also have TT (like Genomico's cyclists). So I don't really see where I can get the many points as I did last season

Unpredictable issues made the fight for the victory harder as never and there's no team without winning chances, so I really enjoyed it
