Yeah, him not signing up really did open the door. Only 100 points down now with 4 races to go.
I think there's still a nitch in the game for a hill focus. My good mountain guys who are hill-trained have been able to have a lot more success with hill attacks then mountain attacks. I have one more rider I'm waiting to pip up to 3 in flat... then after that I'm going to get a hill/downhill trainer and try to focus more on the terrain skills people tend to have less of in order to more successfully attack. I'll probably train the trainer up so they're hill/downhill/TT.
I'm good at winning stages and 1-day races with attacks. I think I'm going to try to stick with that. My mountain guys really are pretty average in the mountains... I'm always just going to have to try to hang on with mountain sections... I'm going to have to try to actually WIN on the hills.

Disappointing last stage of Cintur de l'Empord, in stead of attacking, all riders stayed in the peloton today. Rosenfold would have wone this race otherwise, but alone against all the helpers at 100% it was impossible to hold the lead. At least those helpers made victims in the peloton as well, only 5 riders where able to come back on Rosenfold, but whit his low sprintskill stage-victory was lost.

Hmm, It seems like I miscounted the attackpoints. I would have liked an attack on point 6 (mountain), but accidentally put all my riders on point 7 (hill), that costs me a full podium in the final stage But after all, the season was not bad, and my failure of today made it possible for warner to jump over BS in his last chance, so congrats for that btw: 50% chance I'll meet one of you guys in the following season, I think my team will have difficulties to aim again for a top position in the division. But with even more and better concurrency the game will be enjoyable as well. Good luck to all ex-3:3 teams and thnx for the activity on this forum

I got lucky with B-S essentially opting out of the last week. I needed a pretty big day in the last race.
I ended up 78 points up so I may still have gotten there with lesser results, but it would have been close.

And in the end... it really doesn't matter!
I guess with other teams becoming inactive, B-S had a high enough score that he still made it to the 3rd division level. Not only that... based on what Nike posted we'll both be in 3-1... so it won't even matter in terms of where we end up.
I may get a little more then I would for signing a new Sponsor this off-season though, plus a little more end-of season cash for finishing 2nd rather then 3rd.
Other notes: EBH "stays" in 3:3. Forza, Scorpion and kleinbikes are both slated for 4:4. Ngogo also ends up in division 4. Everyone else active in 3:3 ended up in division 5.

4th season in 3:3, goal this season will be to ensure the team a 5th year in 'my' division.
