We see an exciting Volta ao Algarve. Indeed it seems that in each stage there is a good chance for a breakaway. But on the other hand the profiles are difficult enough that it could pay back badly to start into the last stages with insufficient fitness.
Yesterday's winner De Toni and my Rooney Sythes spent 35% fitness for gaining only about one minute. I was hopping for at least 3. So I don't believe that this could be enough for any of both to win the tour. There are a lot of cyclists with still 90% fitness with only a 1:18 gap.
Imho it's fun to see such a hard and close competition. 7 teams already managed to snatch a win. Too bad that WTC Driewieler missed to subscribe for the Volta.
De vliegende spitjes and Myrcysters without any point until today ... this must change! I'm awaiting your offensive in the upcoming races!
Kannikoerski ... too bad to see you selling all your cyclists. But still logging in? Come on! At least buy some 20 young cyclists and make for a fresh start! Maybe that the game is on a little hold at the moment ... but I still believe that IP and nikeboy can do a decent game still much better in the near future! Don't leave us!
Cheers!

Bad luck for www.foudevelo.net04:30:07 Tellier takes a tumble and smashes to the ground Good luck for Bolt Thrower04:31:37 Pauker has won this race!!! Wow. This is really bitter for www.foudevelo.net. He entered the last section with 18 seconds of a lead. Makes me wonder if my sprint express would have done it without that fall.

Is anybody reading here from div 3.6? (I mean apart from rarau, robdob and me) Only 7 teams subscribed for Paris-Roubaix And until now it's only 6 teams for Rund um Köln! Hey! I designed that race. I really consider it as a slight affront if you don't participate! I really should train sprint or at least buy some 7+ sprinters! I have lots of good results ... but not enough wins! But my master plan tells me to stick to flat for another season. By that time my best flat cyclist should have 14 flat and would be 26 years old. That would be the right moment to switch to sprint so he can snatch each and every flat stage when he is about 30!

I'm not really interested in small races. I think I am to lazy Don't have the time to put a new team everyday for every race. I would like to see a way you can make 5 or 10 standard teams. So that would cost less time for the small races

I'm not really interested in small races. But your cyclists miss XP, miss increasing their leadership, steering and balance ... You need not to pick materials ... but at least subscribe 5 cyclists with 70% effort to gain them their share of XP and the other secondary skills.

Yeah I know, probably the way to go indeed. I don't ever pick materials since I started the game in 2007 (I think?).
Do they make that kind of a difference?

Damned! I guess Sobreira's fall during his solo ride cost him this race. If he hadn't lost time due to the fall he would have made it over the last mountain.
But ok. In Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne it was me who was the profiteer of a similiar constellation. So with ranks 3-5 in Ronde van Vlaanderen I won't complain further on.

So I'm carrying on as the solo entertainer in the division's thread. The Giro d'Italia is about to start tomorrow. Finally the first of the big tours. I hope that Myrcysters and Drepanum Team will subscribe in time! I guess in the end you need at least some 10+ mountain cyclists to go for the general classment. But the race is difficult due to the great variability of the stages. Maybe that the Giro is only decided with last stage's team time trial. So it's difficult choices that have to be made: - rather pick some stages to go for the win in or gamble for the general classment
- trying to stay in the peloton for each race or trying to gain some time with an attack
- rather use 5 mountain cyclist to help each other or pick flat, hill and TT specialists for some stages
What are you gonna do? Who do you think will win the Giro? Because I don't have enough faith in my mountain cyclists I'm going with an allround team so I can try to snatch at least some stages. I guess that WTC Driewieler will start with good prospects to win the general classment. Kimi has shown that she has a lot of great mountain specialists and I guess that this will be the most decisive factor. Good luck!
