Lol, I hoped it wouldn't work in Paris-Roubaix, but it did. My cyclist with 5 flat and 2 sprint won. Ok, he has 7 mountain, but what does it matter in Paris-Roubaix? I hope they will change these parts. It shows again mountain is overpowered.

I agree with you. I know i have no chance in stages with mountain longer than 20km.
I think anyway that with the new engine the game is going in a nicer and more interesting and more tactical challenging direction, still a lot of fine tuning is required.
I think that also too many flat stages are won by attackers, while it would make more sense that attackers are caught with 10-20 kms before the finish. I benefit at this part, but I believe it shouldn't be like this.
We have to ask ourself another question. The game is only at season 5, the cyclists are not mature yet in terms of skills. It may be the case that what doesn't make sense now, it would with better and more equal between principal skills cyclists. So changes made now could interfere with our gaming experience later. It is debatable, but who knows.
Anyway, for me it is more challenging that it was the first seasons. I didn't play v1 (Actually only one season), but i feel is more interesting with the new engine. And also on v1, in my second season the mountain trainers won everything. Me and my colleague in the group training flat finished on places four-five i think very far from the first ones. And we won every flat race. So i'm not complaining, i feel i have better chances now, with the new engine.

It looks more like you are training downhill and sprint now? And your collegue mountain?
I think, no I'm sure that without sprint it's quite impossible to win a stage.
As considering the attackers the peloton should be able to catch the attackers. I agree.

Lot's of attackers today in de ronde van vlaanderen. My cyclists were strong enough to escape on the flat but as expected they are not strong enough in the mountain parts to stay in the very first group.

What's up with your cyclists chakra, did they lost their EPO? But I'm sure you will take some points in the big tours with your superstar He's better than Borrego (I think), so you certainly should be able to win some races with him

As considering the attackers the peloton should be able to catch the attackers. I agree. Yes, i'm training downhill and sprint now. I think downhill is totally underrated and some combinations (hill/downhill) can win stages. I disagree regarding the fact that without sprint is impossible to win stages. It happened to me also this season, it happened last season. I consider not having a sprint skill when is lower than 3. There are less chances, true, but it's still possible. I have no idea what skills are actually necessary for stages like Ronde van Vlaanderen. I'm pretty sure i also have the right profile of cyclist somewhere in my team, i am just not able to find him.

But I'm sure you will take some points in the big tours with your superstar He's better than Borrego (I think), so you certainly should be able to win some races with him Last season I had the support of dave's C10H15NO. It seems it helped a lot then. EPO-Elks won't give me anything of his product. I don't know what's happening. Going 100%, attacking, helping, endsprinting... nothing seems to help. I almost start thinking someone desorientated my cyclists. Or they are taking a lot of pit-stops during the races. Lack of downhill can not be the only reason. My cyclist have at least 3 sprint, combined with flat or mountain. They fall out every now and then due to illness or not being carefull during the training. This season really sucks for me. Just glad to still have a little positive saldo at the end of the week. I keep hoping one day (this season? this week?) I will win a race. I see Borrego competes at the Giro. Damn! Roland will not compete at the Giro. Brouillet will. Just aiming for a good final ranking at the Giro. Did you notice? The Metrics are in finally. They subscribed the Giro. Ther are still a few mountain races left. Who knows then?

Yes. Up to now I have a small positive saldo. Almost a break even. Luckily I've got some reserve, so I will financially survive at least some seasons. Ended Borneo on a 4th place on just only 5 seconds. It's a pitty I started the last race on 95%. Perhaps if it was 100% ... Congratz to De Koereurs. Seems he's aiming for promotion I am too.

Perfect race for me today. No bad luck and the first time jersey is a fact! I'm already happy with what I won untill now, it only can get better ^^ Borrego will ride the Giro indeed, but I don't think he will take many points. Not really that much mountainstages and they are almost all the first days... Promotion would be nice, but it's not important to me. The season is still way to long to say anything about promotion yet The most important thing for me is to keep finances positive and buy good replacements for leaving cyclists. (De Velder and Bernat will be sold this week as they can't get any usefull training from me anymore.)

Roland vs Roquiny in Subida al Naranco. Hoping for finally a first victory? I wonder what skill Fazio has as a leader? Venzolana was better than I thought. 19 th place. Yeeeeeeeah!

I don't think Roquiny can beat Rolland. I hope for top-3
