As you probably know, we are currently working on a new race engine (often referred to as 'RE2'). Initially we used the funraces to test this engine, but with only a couple of races per week, the amount of funraces was too low for us to get enough feedback from the results to improve the engine quickly enough. So to increase the pace of the development a bit, we made a test website available, in which the division races will use the new race engine. This makes it a lot easier for us to test the impact of the new engine on tours and divisions, without risking errors in the actual game. We will also use this test environment to introduce some new features before they are made available in the actual game, so you could consider this as the beta testing of a new Peloton version. The database will be a complete copy from the actual database. This means that all the current teams and cyclists will also be available on the test website. If you are participating in the test, please take note of the following: - There is no actual competition. Race simulations can result in errors and frequent database resets are possible. - We do expect that you report any problems you find in the forum, this is a test after all! - The race calendar is not the same as in the actual game. It's possible the calendar can change during the testing, depending on specific things we are testing at that moment. The test website will last until the end of the current season (end of August), after which the actual game will be updated with the new race engine and features. The url of the website is: peloton-test.com.peloton.arvixevps.com/index.aspx

Is it possible to make the test site, a little bit different from the normal site. Because it's a little bit confusing for me.
Now the only thing different is the url , right?

IP, when you go to contract negotiations, and you come on the point where you have to tell your rider how many races he will race in a season, you can't choose an amount of races, so you end up with 0 races in a season...

Some questions that have come to mind:
Do we train our cyclists in the test environment? - In the case of this, do we up the training skills of our trainers in this environment? - None of the cyclists on my team received any 'pops' this Sunday, (in the test environment), so I am assuming that training does not come into play.
Does fitness come into play? - As it seems there was no fitness update in the test environment yesterday, cyclist with injuries didn't get better... will they just remain injured?
Do we need to bother with supporters, (purchasing and selling items)?

Correct, I'll reset the fitness of all cyclists to 100% and remove any injuries before the first race. Starting next Sunday, there will be weekly updates I might also set the finances of all teams high enough, so you don't have to worry about supporters. The moment everything is set, I'll announce it! I'll change the color in the layout too, so there's better distinction between the 2 websites.

One other thing you might want to do - I recently sold a few riders, however they still appear on my roster here in the test site. I'm planning to use a couple of them in the upcoming races here. If you decide to update the rosters please post here a day or two in advance, so I can field some replacement riders. Thanks!!

No, all cyclists in your team will stay in your team, I have removed all running transfers. So no worries about selecting these cyclists for the coming races

All stats have been reset, btw (already since yesterday, but the announcement is up now). I just noticed I forgot about the team victories, I'll reset those as well tonight. All players have Premium now too

Is it possible to hide the name of the race winner in the calendar page? Something like the funrace overview page, where you first can click on "results" and then decide whether to watch the full report or to watch only final results.

I agree that's indeed with the new race engine more fun if you don't know the winner right away

Yes, I'm still working on the 'live' variant of the report. When this is implemented, the winner will be hidden in the calendar until the race is finished. But before this, I want the race report to be working correctly
