Well, Hauwe gave everything he had, but fell short. As a resutl, he won't be doing the Vuelta as originally planned but having a chance to win the Tour was worth a shot.
Congrats to De la blancherie!
A strange Tour for us. Not a single stage win, none of the distinctive jerseys. And yet overall, some good results. 2nd and 3rd overall, 2nd in the mountain, a completely unexpected 5th place in the sprints for Hauwe, who also won the white jersey. And we win the team classifation too.
As a result of all those good placings, we get good money, so I'm fairly happy. Just wish I'd won at least one stage.
Now, a break and some one day races which are always fun, and the smaller tours which require much more strategy. Bring it!

Well....the strategy worked. Pilati at 100% and Barbez at 90 (so he's fit for Poland) and nobody could follow. Unfortunately he lost too many point in the internediate sprints, so no green jersey. On the other hand....Ulrich won't be starting in the Vuelta as he gave 90 too (or he has to start with lower fitness), so maybe an opportunity there. I'm more and more pleased with Lucassen who finished fourth today at 70 effort.....very nice and promising for the future with his 18 years. All in all i should not complain. 7 stage wins, 4 riders in the top-10 of the points classification and Knegt still endend 7th overall (3rd in the youngsters) with his 1.8 mountain, 2 flats and no ITT capacity. (also thanx to a lot of falls of others offourse)....hopefully the jerseys will come in the next tours. Standings after TdF: 1. Team Camargue 6 3 1 3 3589 2. Wisigoths 13th 12 3 0 4 3170 3. Thorax 8 2 4 1 2985 4. Kingstown 16 1 1 0 2540 5. kanikoerski 4 0 0 0 1421 6. Gouden Leeuwen 6 0 2 1 1196 7. Team Leopard-Trek 1 0 1 0 774 8. Team Nenne 0 0 0 0 45 9. de leutemakers 0 0 0 0 4 10. You had a nice battle! I followed it in the background (not posting or something) and I message with kingstown a lot. You're lucky to have such an active and nice division! I'm the only active (every day online, visiting the forum, etc.) in mine.

Very very disappointing TDF, not one stage win and Ulrich out for the Vuelta ;-). I thought he could take back some time in the last stage so I toke the risk and letted him ride on 90% and no results since I even believed that maybe he could win the TDF ( without his flat tire he would have but yeah ;-) )
The green jersy is nice but I Hoped for much more. Seems I don't have riders who can win a stage on 70%, damn!
congratz to all the other teams, seems you were stronger!

A completely unexpected win in Vattenfalls with a rider that only participates if i have problems filling the spaces. Ghuisoland had 3 flat tires for a change and only lost 1 minute at 85 effort....his potential is so huge, but the steering so crappy....hopes he raises soon another level. Standings after Vattenfalls: 1. Team Camargue 6 3 1 3 3611 (+22) 2. Wisigoths 13th 12 3 0 4 3290 (+120) 3. Thorax 8 2 4 1 3000 (+15) 4. Australian Warlord 0 0 0 0 0 11. vaila racing team 0 0 0 0 0 Hope i can do smth in the first stage of Germany the rest is probably too difficult, although i'm curious what Arnould can do after his first appearence since he won the Giro.

You won because your rider was the only one riding at full speed... A great strategy though.

You won because your rider was the only one riding at full speed... A great strategy though. True....only 2 of the riders in the first group were at full speed. I wonder why...our selections are big enough to cover all the races, but i'm not complaining. Little worried that Dehertog (winner of L-B-L) couldn't follow that first group....i had high hopes for him in the Eneco Tour. First Germany and hopefully we can do smth in the first stage.

Germany was more or less what i expected. In the first stage we had great results after that it was over. The test with Brianza as a sprinter failed, so he's not going to the Vuelta and unfortunately Arnould can't follow the mountainguys anymore....the difference in skills is now really too big.
Standings after Deutschland Tour:

Happy with that last win stage in Germany, it had been a while since we 'd won a race.
Busy week this week with 2 one day race, plus the Eneco and Vuelta starting too. This is where our big squads make all the difference, compared to Gouden Leewen and Kanikorski for example...

A good result in San Sebastian for you too! Congratz. First time i did not participate in a race this season. Standings after Clasica San Sebastian: 1. Team Camargue 7 3 1 4 4121 (+105) 2. What happened kingstown? a deliberate no entry, or a mistake?
Good placings for us, but really no surprise since there were only 3 real teams entered in this race.
Dreyer gets his second 3 weeks injury of this season. What was once the best rider on my team at the game restart is now a disaster waiting to happen. As soon as he is healed, he will head to the transfer list and I'll hope that someone does look at his injury history...^^

Oh, and just for the record, today's winner Hyytinen was a rider I tried to buy when he was on the transfer list... Just like kingstown's Favelli who won the Vatenfall classic just a few days ago... Nothing like losing a a future winner to a division rival !

Lol! Hyytinen was also on my shortlist. It was a deliberate choice not to start. I had only 3 riders left that could participate (number 4 is the first rider that has a serious injury for me this season) and it was a choice between San Sebastian or Plouay. 23 riders is just 2 short and i'm not active enough on the transfermarket, because i had planned to nuy 2 extra riders allready during the TdF. Looking forward to Eneco though....i know most of the otherteams will focus on the Vuelta, but i decided to bring a few of my strongest riders to the Eneco, since the Vuelat is not really my terrain, although i hope to win the time trials again offcourse and the last stage to Madrid is the only other stage where i have serious chances. Germany proved that Arnould can not compete with the real mountainguys anymore, so no GC ambitions and that Burel guy from Thorax will probably very hard to beat for the green jersey.

I completely changed my tactics for the Vuelta. For example, Sintes should have rode in Spain, but was chosen instead for the Eneco, because I realised in the TdF that the TT skill was just too important right now. If he can't compete in the big tours, I'm hoping he can win a smaller one... Of course, Eneco is probably not the best choice because it is not really mountains, but the fact that he followed your riders today in what is the flatest stage makes me hopeful for the remainder of the race.
