Sintes is imo together with Ulrich the favourite for the pink jersey, especially since Brown is injured. That would have been a hard opponent. I hope to grab some stages. Romandie was a disaster. I'm still confused why Barbez finished last in the first group, since he's a good sprinter and won the intermediate sprint. Ghuisoland had 3 flat tires in 3 races....he never can show his potential this way. Since Thorax, Gouden Leeuwen and kanikoerski did well in Romandie it's getting closer around place 4. 1st and 2nd have a nice advantage at the moment. 1. Wisigoths 13th 4 2 0 1 1469 2. Team Camargue 3 2 0 2 1462 3. Thorax 1 0 1 1 951 4. Kingstown 3 0 0 0 920 5. kanikoerski 3 0 0 0 821 6. Gouden Leeuwen 5 0 2 0 790 7. Team Leopard-Trek 1 0 1 0 458 8. Team Nenne 0 0 0 0 45 9. de leutemakers 0 0 0 0 4 10. Australian Warlord 0 0 0 0 0

Gaudin had the fastest time in Romandie of all divisions. Again our divison proves to be very strong.

Well...congratz anyway with his performence! it's nice to see these kind of results and it promises a lot of good for the future for a lot of teams in our division! Although i'm still a little bit disappointed about the result of the last stage. Now it's Giro time and let's see if we can continue these fast times....wonder if we start with only 5 teams....that would cost Gouden leeuwen a lot of points.

Only 6 teams with the bot added.
Surprised at Gouden Leeuwen's lack of participation, but then again, he only has 11 riders. After a strong start to his season, his choices seem to doom his chances... Sadly for us, it also means we won't get the 100% cash prizes...
On the race itself, congrats on the win in the TTT Kingstown. We lost 47 seconds, which seems like a lot at this point. I'm hoping we can make it up later on. Very surprised by Wisigoth's time, almost 2 minutes lost on you, that is really a lot!

Wisigoth started with cyclists who were only 85% fit, so he had to go at 70%, while we could go on 85. The timegaps maybe looks a lot, but if you see the other races so far, then 1 flat tire means that you're minutes behind and looking at my riders i'm pretty sure i'll get my share of flat tires again. Gouden Leeuwen has enough riders who are 85%+ fit, so he could participated, but maybe he focusses on the small rounds, although in the end that will probably not be enough if the other teams joins every race. I hope to win the ITT too with Pilati (TT 3 and flat 3) and grab some points on the intermediate sprints with Louwagie, other then that i'll be looking with interest to the fight for the top spots. Hard to judge whether the differences are still small enough to be in the first group with some riders on the stages that are mostly flat and ceratainly too bad that we're all going to miss the extra money.

What a way to start the Giro....second victory in a row! ;D
Surprisingly Lepetit went for the mountainpoints instead of Sintes. I hope Louwagie can seriously battle for the point jersey. Ulrich will be a tough nut to crack though.

Look for things to change in the next stage...

I thought it was a tactical move of the manager.... those 10 points propably bring Lepetit in the final mountain top-10 and that way giving you extra money, while Sintes wins the jersey anyhow. No need to win with a big advantage if that means that other riders won't end up in the top-10.

Three in a row! This is probably where it all ends....3 of the 5 riders are allready out of the top and Knegt will probably follow tomorrow....Hopefully Arnould can hang on with the best climbers. Too bad Louwagie had a flat tire today, as the gap between him and Ulrich for the point jersey is getting pretty big. There are still 2 (and maybe 3) stages where we have a chance to win, so in general i'm still happy so far with how things are going.

I don't think someone can beat Ulrich for the green jersey since I think/hope he will also take points in the mountain stages. My team is doing better than expected but since we have a lot of good mountain trainers in our division it will be a hard battle!
I must say I realy enjoy the hard competition in our division!

You're probably right, but a manager can have his dreams he? Like i said earlier i think it's going to be between Ulrich and Sintes (too bad Brown is injured) for the GC...i'm just collecting (important) points in the stages that are mainly flat...hills are ok, but as soon as the real mountains will come it's over with my 1 and 2 skill mountain guys.

Congrats on a 3rd win, kingstown! all this after whining you did not have a chance before the Giro started... Re Lepetit and his 10 mountain points, you are right of course, it was my intention to do just what you described. Only it wasn't supposed to happen in the 1st stage... ^^

As you can see they're allready losing time 1 after the other, while your 5 riders are still there in the top of the GC. What you're doing with the mountainpoints i'm planning to do in the points classification if Ulrich is indeed out of range. Tomorrow 3 intermediate sprints at flat terrain and if Louwagie doesn't make up some points, i have to rethink my tactics.

grr, i hate time trials... Well, OK, i don't hate them, but my team is clearly not designed to do well in them and it may just cost us the Giro... Like I said earlier, call us the Schlecks of div 5.116!!!
