hi everybody
In mountain stages it was nice to have only mountain points, and who won a stage that finishes in the top of a mountain should recieve extra mountain points. 10 or 14 for example, and in flat stages only have sprint points.
It was nice to implement a regularity jersey. for example a cyclist that finishes the stage in first get one ,1 the second gets 2 the third gets 6 and so one.
1st---1 point 2nd---2 points 3rd---6 points 4th---12 points 5th---24 points ... this pontuation is just an example. In the end who finishes with less points would be the winner, and in case of equalise the cyclist that finishes first in the time jersey would be the factor of decision.

Do you mean like the combination jersey in the Vuelta and earlier in the Tour de France?
In reality, the jersey is awarded to the cyclist that does best in all standings: the yellow jersey, the green jersey and the polka dot jersey. So for example: cyclist X finishes 3rd for the yellow jersey, 5th for the green jersey and 4th for the polka dot jersey. So that makes 3 + 5 + 4 = 12 points. Then, the cyclist with the fewest points receives the combination jersey.
This could be a good idea in Peloton for all-round cyclists. Although the jersey will probably be won by the winner of the yellow jersey.

i thought that too, but in that case there was a problem. to gain points for the mountain jersey you have to select a cyclist, and only those could participate on it, so in my opinion is better to do the classification for the places in each stage, like that many riders would have the possibility to win it.

Yes I thought about that too. But maybe with the new match engine this will change?

i think so, at least give mountain points to the cyclists who win mountain stages.
