Are there plans to create a new youthscout and/or training system?
I create this topic to know if there are plans in that direction. If there aren't any plans, what are the ideas about this?
I'm the champion of divison 1:1 in Belgium. Now I have 25 cyclists. All with good FA. In the past it was real fun to look for interesting and talented cyclists or to pull them with my youthscout. Because I only have 25 training places, this fun has disappeared.
btw: I can't wait to see the race game engine changes.

I know one thing about race changes. Time trial will play a more significant role in the game. It won't only be for time trial stages.

As long as all important changes keep being announced on the homepage, so we don't have to search for them in the forums, it's ok. I'd also like a new training system, for instance like already suggested in this topic : peloton.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=pelotonsuggestions&action=display&thread=3099More cyclist stats is also something I really would like to see. I know some are against as their current superb cyclists could become a little less good when randomly not given good values for these new stats, but it would sure make the game worth much more ! And what about all changes to the race game engine ? What's going to happen ? I'm too lazy to read all forum topics, you see.

We're still being secretive of the new engine. We have a rough test version that's looking very promising and meets many (most/all?) requests about races; tactics, reports, make some skills more important, ... But there is still much work to be done. 2009 will be the year of the new engine Just don't be too impatient There are no plans to change the training system, btw. We have considered individual training, but we came to the conclusion that it would make the game too easy and it would also lose a big tactical aspect. We understand that this is not very realistic, but sometimes realism is just too boring

about the engine: In real cyclism not every flat stage ends in a mass sprint. I've read the opposite several times in previous posts. Sometimes the time differences are big (remeber pereiro in the tdf 2006). It's all about team tactics. Who will ride in the peloton (sprinter-, general leader, teams who have nobody in the escape), and they have to have the abilities to do so.
about this topic: I would like to discover new youth talents, and train them. Something like a youth circuit? When I have the most talented youngster I will have to train him 10 seasons before he can win something in division1. And my 25 training places are occupied.

Who told you that flat races will end up in a mass sprint ?!! And above all, don't panic upfront and/or believe rumors. So, this means you will have to make choices. Either sell your talented youngster or sell one of your 25 trainess or just train 26 trainees !

in that case: I will not panic. Probably I will sell a few cyclists to keep the game interesting, but it will be a stupid decision.

No, if you do it right. Somehow like I suggested for instance.

Already quite some time ago, I had suggested to also have a 'small' bunch of youth cyclists, apart from your main squad. But actually I don't have too many problems with the amount of 25. I went from 42 cyclists to more or less 28 since last couple of weeks, with a good mix between experienced ones and young trainees. Though I would like to have some more real talents among these youngsters.

maybe we can make a youth team for every team? They also ride races, when they are seventeen they can be promoted to your first team, its a bit like football butt maybe its worth to try.

some youth cyclist in a waiting room, would be nice. You can find out how talented they are. Of course it will cost you some money. Maybe in the far future?
