After 4 weeks. The database restore of last week sure didn't help, either. At the moment, the RE is also not yet functioning 100% correctly. I'll try to get a first patch ready for this weekend, that should already solve a number of issues.
I think the direction the game is going is still good.

One rider finishes 3 times behind another one in the race in P-N, but in the GC he is in front of the better one. How can you explain that? no one got points in sprints. I've put some strange things in Algemeen, small bugs and division 3:6

Yes I think we are in the right direction , even with the loss of some old managers, the new engine is a excelent addiction to the game, but we need to cativate the new managers and after read the post created yesterday in the suggestions by Fabio I check that Div 5 is horrible, divisions with 1 active manager and other stuffs. This way we will loose the new managers. Div 4 need too some work. We cannot only look for Div 2 and Div 3. IP if you need some help to make more attactive and interactive Div 4 and Div 5 I'm ready to help you in my free time.

There needs to be another sorting parameter after that to take into account average race position for the tour. Right now it just appears to be a random sorting after that.

We should also think of the size of divisions, and the room left for bots. You can't just replace like that bots with active teams, because having 25 helpers in a race isn't so good to escape. There is a difficult balance to find. In my division, there are 5 active teams, and it is quite fun to follow and it sure helps trying to get the best of your team... Otherwise, competing just against bots could annoy.

is this right?
why doesn't that happen in a normal way if we are going to a more realistic game?

I'm really quite happy with the course the development of the game and the engine are heading to. Only it doesn't reflect in new managers Now we are at 736 managers. Who knows? Perhaps we're less than 700 after the update? But what should we do? I guess we all agree that Peloton needs more and new users. Has it ever been approached to advertise and vote for Peloton on one of the online games voting/ranking sites? You know sites like: Top Web GamesTop 100 Web GamesMultiplayer Online Game DirectoryWorld Online Gamesxtremetop100.comTop Game SitesThe Online Gaming NetworkOMGN ArchiveIP - have you ever tried to advertise Peloton on one of those sites? Would it be ok for you if we do? Who would write a catchy summary of the Peloton game? Any volunteers? Who would submit Peloton to each of these sites? Volunteers? I would do the register/login/submit stuff for 1 or 2 of those ... not for all. Would you vote daily for Peloton on those pages? Peloton community! What do you think of this idea?

Nice idea, it won't hurt to do some ad and the new engine is really good to keep new players. I would vote as soon as it is online!

Joelag,
I some time ago creat account in some cicling games and forum to let them know about this game in Portugal and Brasil and there was an increase of players, but with time they the majority leave the game.
Brasil only have 1, they were 10. Portugal increase from 29 to 47 and now he are 43 and I keep trying to bring more people to the game but is difficult.
I already said that the game needs a tuturial for new managers because many of them don't know at the beginning how to deal with the game. I use to check portuguese managers and trie to help them to get envolved to the game, that is the only way they get interest and stay.

Hello, Same comment as Elgringo... The game is not easy for a beginner. The wiki is not up to date. So nothing is doing for new player and the new engine is not totally efficient. I know some players who go out from peloton too... Admins , if you want more players , just take time to write a real tutorial.

i'm a new user and i have to say that the lack of clear explanations about the game is a real problem. i'm not saying that we need to know everything, but actually it's really confusing, it happens to read things that are no more in the game. i understood many things by reading the forum but i think that on 100 users who register here maybe only some do that. but i think that it's not only this that the game has to improve. i'm not a fan of the games which prefer to have a very good graphic structure than a real game engine... but i think that this game need a restyling. in this restyling should be introduced for example also more info about the races, particularly about the kind of terrain (mountain, hill....). i think also that the actual way to show the races has some problems. it lack of emotions... it's too much static. it need some kind of animation, more "second by second" info... waiting the end of each sector to have info is not what can give to users real cycling emotions... also the big amount of bot in lower championships is not really good to involve users... yes, it's easy to win, but if you are just in 2-3 active teams it's not very interesting. that's what i think, i'm just a new user but i like the game... and i would like to see it grow

I start reading this post and from the begining I saw that we had about 1100 managers and now we have about 700, so less 400 managers. And I saw too this declarations: IP - December 2011 A tutorial with tasks seems like a good idea. Maybe the youthscout wages could be lowered as well. Next year I'll advertise the game for a while as well. But I think it's better if the new RE is ready before I do this. IP -January 2012 Where is Nikeboy idea? Maybe the problem is more the lack of a good user guide, causing new players to quit before they get to know the game. Nikeboy had a great idea for this, but we need to see how we can implement it IP - February 2012 In a few weeks, there will be more activity on the PR-side of the game. I asked someone with marketing skills to help out maintaining the facebook and twitter accounts and to basically handle everything commercial. He says he has some good ideas, so let's see what he'll add to the game IP -September 2012 I think the direction the game is going is still good. Almout a year is passed and none of this was implented, so IP do you think the game is still in the right direction? The engine is good but we don't see that on managers.
