I had wondered if a lot of team would go bankrupt because the set their trainer to improve his mainskill and forgot about it as thye weren't really looking at their costs.
IF you had to actively set instructions to train the trainer each week,, defaulting to no training, this problem should be less prevalent.

I have read this thread completely because the life of peloton is in my heart... Without players life expectancy would be low... Maybe it is something to think about to give new teams an average skill of al riders in peloton for their new riders... This way they have a chance to compete AND make mistakes. UNTIL there are enough players to have the new ones in their own 'low' divisions... I agree it is a 'rough' idea but maybe a smart man like IP (merry christmas an happy new year btw) and his staff can work something out around it... (don't do everything on threads like this but use it as a 'thinktank'.

A tutorial with tasks seems like a good idea. Maybe the youthscout wages could be lowered as well. Next year I'll advertise the game for a while as well. But I think it's better if the new RE is ready before I do this. IP the salary of the scout will be changed for next season? I was wondering the salary of a current scout 20/20/20 and its above $500.000 by my calculation

If you want to train perfect you buy a 20 trainer. ex : schizm 19 mountain quatannens 17 mountain genomico 19 mountain i have 18 flat iwander 17 hill nikeboy 16 flat

You cote some managers that didn't rich skill 20 but you forgot that some of then have scout our a secundary skill in trainer, and I see many excelent managers with trainer with skill 20. By the way the game goes its a risk but we are responsable for or actions. I cannot agree that the value of a 20/20/20 could be that explored price, have no sense, for me each skill 20 should have the salary of $100.000, so 20/20/20 be $300.000 I thing this value is fair enough.

You want the best for your team, so if you take a financial look a 20/20/20 scout won't be the best decision. Of course 20-skills are the best for your cyclists, but if it would be able for most managers to have the best trainer and scout, there is nothing special anymore. It's just a hard decision to make and you just want to avoid that decision by lowering wages.

The most important member to grow the team is the trainer so the scout has a secundary importance, so like that we just want to see that on the salary, the big difference between trainer and scout. Of couse I want the best and all the managers, but like the way it is no one is able to have a 20/20/20 scout or a 20/20 trainer. To deal with a 20 skill trainer and a 10/10/10 scout is already dificult, its about $240.000 per week

Waht are the managers in Div. 4,3,2 and 1 going to buy. The cant buy two best trainers or two best scouts. A manager game is about decision making, so it should be really really difficult to buy a very good trainer and a very good scout at the same time for the teams in the highest Division.

I think the way IP has it set makes it very interesting! Maybe just a little frustrating ;D, but really interesting because I am always searching for the best managerial balance. The fact that I spend a lot of time thinking about how best to manage my team demonstrates how involving and fun the game is.

I like thinking too, but by the way it is I don't see any team that could have a top manager and a top scout.
