The final stage of the Criterium du Dauphiné Libéré has a mountain finish.
My rider, Dewire, finished 28th at +15:03. Brah finished 14th at 7:03, nearly 8 minutes faster.
However, somehow Dewire beat Brah for the mountain points.
Seems like an odd result. Brah finished well ahead so it seems he should have gotten the higher mountain points, too.
Note: Dewire fell on the stage, presumably right at the finish, as he took second honors at every mountain sprint on the stage, but it seems unlikely he could slip 8 minutes when the finish and the last mountain sprint are the same point.
Thanks!

Dewire must be a good acrobate, falling at the right place between the sprint and the finish. When you try it you won't succeed xD!

Only cyclists who are selected for mountain/intermediate sprints will be able to get points. With the new RE, this will change and cyclists who pass first will actually be first in the sprint.

Final Mountain sprint results: Mountain 4 1. Petiti $2,500 2. Dewire $1,500 3. Brah $500 Stage 3 placements ar finish: 14. Brah +7:16 28. Dewire +15:03 It didn't make any difference in the overall standings, and I don't mind the extra cash - just looks like something might have gone wrong in the RE. I would have expected Brah and Dewire to have swapped positions on that final sprint since Dewire was face down on the pavement.

nothing went wrong in the RE, this is just how the RE works.
