De Franse kwaliteitskrant Le Monde pakt uit met het ophefmakend bericht dat de Spanjaard Oscar Pereiro Sio na twee ritten in de Tour van 2006 positief zou bevonden zijn op het gebruik van een dopingproduct.
Volgens de Franse krant werd de renner van Caisse d'Epargne tot twee maal toe betrapt. Zowel op 17 juli na de 14de etappe van Montélimar naar Gap alsook op 19 juli na de 16de etappe van Bourg-d'Oisans naar La Toussuire leverde de Spanjaard een positief dopingplasje af.
Het zou om de substantie salbutamol gaan. Dat is een product dat normaal voor astmabehandeling voorgeschreven wordt. Pereiro's aanhang verdedigt zich voorlopig met het excuus dat een voorschrift werd afgeleverd. De UCI vond dat Pereiro dit product mocht gebruiken. Maar het Franse dopingagentschap AFLD betwijfelt of de Spanjaard het middel echt voor therapeutische doeleinden moest gebruiken.
Naar eigen zeggen wacht het AFLD al sedert augustus op dit bewust voorschrift. Het agentschap liet dan ook het volgende weten: "Als Pereiro voor 25 januari nog steeds niet heeft gereageerd zal een startprocedure gestart worden."
Dit bericht werd echter nog niet bevestigd. Wordt ongetwijfeld vervolgd!

het is een voorstel: ik zou graag geen berichten op dit forum of in peloton willen zien over doping. deze spellen plaatsen wielrennen in een postief daglicht. er wordt al genoeg over doping geschreven, gezaagd en vooral geroddeld. ik vind dat het onderwerp doping op dit spel niet thuis hoort. ok vrije meningsuiting voor iedereen ma toch...

Het hoort nu eenmaal bij de sport, en niet alleen bij wielrennen hoor, daar geloof ik niks van. Maar wielrennen wordt wel altijd zo bekeken wat zeer jammer is maar doping zal het wielrennen blijven achtervolgen als het roer niet omgegooit wordt

Hopelijk word het Andreas Klodin die de Tour wint hij staat 3e in het klassement. Ik vond het ook een beetje onverdiend dat oscar pereiro 2e werd gewoon omdat ze hem hebben laten rijden.

Ja is wel waar ik heb wel nooit gezegd dat hij een slechte klimmer is maar hij is niet het type renner die tweede word in de tour de france. Hij had in de bergen ook wel een paar slechte dagen dat hij totaal niet mee kon met de groep van de favorieten. En dat mag toch wel niet voor iemand die tweede is geworden in het klassement. Maar ja het was ook een heel speciale tour de france die van 2006

I really don't understand why you speak on your own language when Il Padrino says "English talking please". I'm Portuguese and, although I liked, I can't follow any of your conversations...
You do it on purpose perhaps? Or we feel like European and not only nationality matters?

You do it on purpose perhaps? Or we feel like European and not only nationality matters? The forum used to be in dutch and some of us seem to have problems with the transition of some topics to english. On the other hand some of the topics here aren't worth tranlating because they handle typical Flemish (or Dutch) issues, like per instance the "football topic" (see "voetbal topic") which apearantly is only about belgian football which probably only appeals to belgian members.

The AFLD has received the medical certificate, so he has partly showed his innocent, but they are still doubting if he realy needed that medication... To be continued....
