For sale + contract expiring

It's not really a bug, but I'm a bit stuck with 2 cyclists.
I didn't renew their contract because I was planning on selling them this week.
I've put them on sale a bit too late, so they will be sold sunday, just after the update.
But during the update, their contract will expire, so I'll lose them just before the sell.
The solution would be simple: give them a new contract for 2 weeks. BUT: when a cyclist is on the transferlist, it's impossible to negotiate a new contract.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

That doesn't change anything. I'll still lose them for free during the update.

Maybe he will not disapeare during update because he's on transfertlist, but I don't think so.
