Congratz to Carapaz. Place 1 and 2 - strong performance. Very happy with the 4 day victories and the white jersey. Cammozzi even managed to be 3d of the points jersey.

Your team can promote. It is close between Polly, Naspa and you. Interesting end of season. The other doubt in this division is about relegation: TGV or Devils ? Everything else is done.

Tomorrow a strange sprint race in a strange tour. Mountain sprint, mixed TT and a hill race (without mountain). First the sprint. I never know what to select for this kind of races; a sprinter with some mountain skill or a mountain-goat with good sprint skill? Orlandoni will get a chance anyway. But I think Engel (DUS) is favorite.

I had made a quick selection without tactics, not looked good, so I shall look soon better, may be changes and with tactics

Yes, two short tours upcoming - it is all a bit confusing. And it starts to be end of season, so I have to look as well whom I promised by contract to have a lot of races. And of course it would be good to give some experience to younger riders as well, because I do not want to promote.
I think I will do a strong team for Utah and after that take it a bit easy.

Crazy race. Caso, Van Nes and Ximenes all dropped from 1st group after a fall. Orlandoni the best sprinter on the flat, but dropped on the climb. First sprint race this season I did not win :-( Well done by Jenneart, beating Engel here is not easy.

f**k me
Pham was supposed to compete for the last stage in this tour. For this i had to play him 70% effort today but i forgot this point. Now he is out with only 84% fitness left during next week ...
With this kind of mistake the end of the season will be really difficult.

Orlandoni and Engel were the best flat sprinters today but Jennaert was stronger in mountain Engel the better mixed sprinter by far. Ouch, Ximenes has only 45% fitness left He should have figure in a better position.

And this race made me change my mind. I have no problem sharing it.
After Carapaz saying she wants to promote and Naspa saying he would race Utah to the max I was thinking I could escape promotion. I was doubting allready since Giro. So then next season I could promote with winning more races, jerseys and money (because no rider is over 35 here). So I put Jennaert at 80% only.
But on the other hand I have been holding back allready so many times (5 times in a row in 3:2) and I got tired of it. So I'll try and give it a shot in 1st DIV. But it worries me for example that Van Nes wins every race he wants with us but couldn't get a single win or 2nd place in 1st DIV.
I do think there is an issue with the game that every season again many managers try not to promote. I don't have a solution ready though.

I can't understand anyone that would not want to promote to 1st div. Where's the isue?
I'm guessing because forum is not so active or is it something else?

Really?
4 new teams in 1:1 or 3 without Franconia. They together score one victory and one jersey. The difference in quality seems that large that it is frightening. For most teams it isn't really fun if you can't win a race the entire season. Every season halfway through the season in 2nd DIV it is the question who wants to promote, not who is able to.
Only for teams that have been building a completely new squad for more than 10 seasons or so it seems possible to be competitive. For others it is usually a return ticket to 2nd DIV.
Ok there is pride, but I think fun is much more important.
Also moneywise staying in 2nd DIV will be a lot more profitable I guess. Also for building mood. And without mood you can't make it in 1st? Also because of the forum activity.
