Tijl Collet: "I am happy with my free role in this giro. Some stages going well, others could better, but we have 3 stages to go, and I see possibilities, a few nice stages to make differences with my yc competitors. At the moment I am 4th in the yc, to fall down I do not expect, to climb in the yc seems me not a problem. I can go use a lot of energy, after the giro I go on holiday, and can recover. Later on I go on training camp. May be I can race again till the end of the season. Others get there chance in the tour/vuelta."

Good racing by Matejek. Well done, pollyjean. Mountain jersey and green are pretty much secured. Ivaldi left over to steal some points. Brantenaar still looks good for yellow.

Ivaldi (POL) strikes and goes so deep that he will be out for 3 weeks . For the YC Cardoso (TGV) shows off his climbing skills and takes the lead. Matejek (POL) can celebrate winning the climbing jersey. Points jersey I guess not totally safe yet. Schweitzer (DEV) takes 6 minutes today on Brantenaar (CAR) for GC. Can he do it again tomorrow? Batlle for yellow is open. Engel (DUS) is heading steadily for third place.

DeVidts will not give presents :-) But yes, you have an amazing young climber @tubara. Warn me if you ever want to sell that Cardoso-guy ;-)!

Schweitzer will give his best to steal the pink jacket to Brantenaar but to be honnest i don't think he can do it ... The point jacket is probably more possible ... Ivaldi was so strong today ... but finally vanished from the Tour, perhaps too much usage of a good doctor Happy to see TGV in the battle (even if it's not a so good news for the Devils)

Yann Auge: "I'm glad to see some observers (Polly) giving credit to my chances on some stages... But now, i can say that i was on the Giro only to help Bruno (Schweitzer). I think i succeeded in by limiting the loss of time in Cuneo-Pinerolo and during the TTT.
I hope my manager will trust me again in the future to win a tour before i will retire ..."

No changes in the rankings after a day full of Portuguese climbing violence. Good heavens, ascending like rockets, what a riders: Ferreira (27), Prates (31), Cardoso (24). Congrats carapaz for the first grand tour victory this season. Panteras for the stage. pollyjean for the smart tactics that made the great Matejek win two jerseys and a stage (instead of two stages only). And to TGV for the very deserved (no question about it) white.

Jennaert is a good climber and he saved allmost his entire giro for this last stage but Ferreira and Prates are a lot better and younger. Impressive. Must say that I only aimed for polka dot jersey with Matejek, Green came with a little luck and with the help of very good mood.
Unfortunately for his mood his wage contract will need to be renewed this season and I still don't have an idea how to save mood without paying really high wages.
