Third in the stage AND overall victory for Renuart in the Tour of California. Happy with that result!!! Congrats quiller! Delarue gave everything he had left in his tank, but came 10s too short. Still an amazing tour for me. The next 5 races will be a lot less 😉.

Today we are going to see the sprinters in action. One of my best has signed in for another tour, somewhere in Italy. The Tour of Italy or something like that . D-day

Nor prediction today? Grilo full on takes the win. Nice try from Vroompie's Veller. Also in full attack with a fitness-save yesterday. Half a bike difference. Got a little bit away of the relegation places. (Untill Friday... back on number 8...)

Today the last stage of the Giro. Will Rios also conquer the mountain jersey? It might be, cause I don't see a lot of fresh cyclists left. Melodia (JOOP Cycling Team) seems to have spared himself the most (97%), but will that be enough for stagewin? Also Urbina (Quiller Boys) with 84% and De Clippel (WC VroOom) with 89% have some extra energy compaired to the others. Or Rios might just take everything, including the stage.

I am very happy with the podium place of Urbina in the Giro. Maybe second was possible, but I did forget my orders on one stage... Still, when Urbina would have attacked there he would have had less fitness for those last two stages (that had too many mountain and too few hill for him) so it might not have made a difference… Next week the tour... My ambitions : podium.

We're halfway the season. It seems to be decided who will earn a ticket to division 3. The league winner also is very clear. GIK team and JOOP Cycling Team stay close to each other for the last ticket to division 1. In the Tour de Suisse, we'll still meet some mountains, but there will be more flat. Bourdages (Arsenal '98) and Delanoy (Headcase Pro Cycling) are looking good for GC. Torres (DeRodeLantaarn) has a 4 minute gap on them, but starts the week with 10% less fitness. For the moment, I'm putting my money on Delanoy. Let's see if today gets us some answers.

Congrats to GIK for winning the Giro!
Thanks Bosko for the nice words on Delanoy. I was hoping, but after today I think Torres will have it. Delanoy should have made the difference with Bourdages and Torres in the long flat part, but he fell and had to chase them. After catching up Delanoy was forced to do most of the pacing. In the final the bastards even tried to ride away, but Delanoy took them back and finished in the same time. So no differences made between those three.
Tomorrow we'll have to fear the first AP. It's downhill and that's not in Delanoy's advantage. Flament probably will lose time (gbut nice win today!), but Mabit has become a factor now. Don't whipe him out. Mountains have been left behind, he can still go for podium in the GC.
Thursday a mostly flat TT. If Bourdages' advantage of 1" still stands by then Delanoy will set that right. Hoepfully that will be enough to end on the podium of GC.

Indeed. Torres is holding on very well and has a nice lead. Very interesting race today because of the early downhill attack point (the weak point of multiple cyclists) and the late second attack point. Curious to see what the time differences between the GC contenders will be at the start of the second attack point.

Mabit has not the good effort today.. Don't worry be happy. A podium spot will be his consolation price. Delanoy (Headcase Pro Cycling) went full and got the stage and the time jersey. He now has 48s on Torres (deRodeLantaarn) who has 15% more fitness. Too bad we won't be able to see intermediate times in tomorrows timetrial. Could become a close call! Brassard (WC VroOom) surprised me today be going full again after last weeks stage win. Besides the mountain jersey (which he was sure of), he now got the point jersey too. Well played! Meanwhile, ALESANA managed to get 2 podium spots with 26y olds. That's picking the right races!
