Why not introduce changes over a period of time this way ...
Because it's much more complicated. I also don't see the need to change training speed.

It’s not more complicated if you change one parameter number in code. If you change the way the code works then yes more complicated but after the initial change we are advocating that.
Training speed needs to change so younger riders are more competitive and it’s is not only 33 to 38 year olds competitive
The other way make the white jersey far more lucrative for points and money - simple change

Van Der Eycken 0 0 00:51:32 Team Slayer 2. Emond 0 0 00:00:35 Luptatorii din Rarau 3. Loest 0 0 00:02:52 Van der Graaf Generator 4. Nunes 0 0 00:06:10 Low Budget Cycling 5. Metral 0 0 00:06:38 R.Antwerp B.C Slayer cyclist is 26y Nunes is 26y also On General Spain Slayer have a cyclist on place 5, Cardoso 29y could be higher if a user from our group dont play everyday at fitness 2/27/2019 We Torrelavega - Burgos won by a 29y old Vattenfall won by a 29y old also the other 26-28y old of Slayer win races

There is no need to change training speed for that.

As a reply on Poekie and Rarau's comments above. As both have some points, I do not fully agree. Slayer dominates in 2:2. but as a smart and experienced manager, he is optimising the mood of his cyclists (helped by the fact that he let his team drop to lower division to promote when the time was there). If you make mood of less influence, then Slayer would win less in 2:2. So if you make mood less important - which iI think is desirable, I do think there is the need to let younger cyclist develop faster - this will make the game also more attractive for new managers. You see more results of training effort when building a new team.

firstly we need to lower retirement age
41 years is too much
i have 3 of 40y so 41y is retiriment age
for example from next season to lower from 41 to 39y (39y maximum) and then 1 year per season till GM choose

If riders start losing abilities at an earlier age (as in my plan), it also means 40 years olds are worse than they are now. Unlikely anyone in the top division would want them (apart for ls maybe). However, they can still be good for starting managers.

we can learn form other games, battrick (cricket game) there is no point in training past say 23 because of speed goes down and wages are linked to skills (avoiding the mood trick in peleton) so wages go up logarithmic with skills. Skills also deteriorate earlier at 33 + so players over 36 or 37 become weak and top teams do not use them.
gives good balance to teams with players with balanced skills and not too high, have to balance wages with ability skills and income.
I build from the bottom so only 4 to 5 riders of 25 are competitive as most are less than 3o years old. I dont know and therefore do not use 'mood trick'?
Stuck in division 3 (because of above) but should get 2nd place this season but expect to get slaughtered in div 2.
