Terrible week! With individual race wins, we hope to gain some points back on GIK, but since Lamego is riding the Giro I'm afraid that won't help me a lot...

My 2nd win in a week. Great week for my team!
I am surprised that a mountain 10 cyclist was enough to win Mount Fuji. But thank you - I'm not in the mood to reject such a gift!
It will be quite difficult for 28 yo Argyle Derriso to make it in the top ten of the GC tomorrow ... but just let's try!
It seems my team is successful in creating enough of a head start to rank 9 ... so I can sleep sounder now!
It will be interesting to see if Gommeren can defend his margin - but he's only at 65% ... there's a whole bunch of cyclists with 75-80% - but on the other hand the stage is quite short. Not much way to win by big margins. My guess would go with Gommeren - if he goes at 100%.

hahaha i made a terrible error. I thought todays race was a TT. Omg, rookie mistake:-) Oh well, good thing is that neo and streetfighters can close the gap and hopefully overtake me...

12 Top 10 finishes for Groenenhoek (with 7 on the podium) certainly isn't bad. 2 wins for Streetfighters and also Bolt Thrower, who suddenly doubles his wins this season. This week 4 races in the Giro. Let's see who already goes all-in and who will save some energy for the last week...

Interesting stage today. Crusaders well estimated Paparellis strength, resulting in a win, even with some fitness left to try to go for podium GC / mountain jersey next week. Acerbi succesfully attacked Lamego in fight for the time jersey. But I'm rather sure Lamego will try to take as much time back as possible tomorrow, in a stage that suits him better.

This sucked! I was thinking Yang going full in would be enough for an easy win. I'm solaced by the fact that he is 4 years the younger.

Seeing the difference in mood between 'em and knowing the profile of the stage was not the best for his skillset, I think Yang did pretty good. (I dont know the winner's skills and the effort made so maybe I made a wrong assumption)

Sikkes saved fitness the entire week, it was obvious that bosko had plans for this stage to win it. Yang already started it with 10% less fitness I think. Although his mood is slightly better, I doubt that he can beat Sikkes at this moment, on this terrain. Certainly not when on different fitness levels

evild: Yang went for thursdays race. But the story of Paparelli is about the same as Sikkes: he is really good in his terrain JoeLag: Yangs best seasons are still to come indeed. But as Paparelli is 36y now, that also means he might be here for another 2 seasons... Very disappointed weekend for me. Saturday, I thought Rico (HI 7, TT 6) would be able to fight for victory. It became a disappointing 7th place... Sunday, I underestimated the importance of the mountain parts. I was hoping the 80km downhill (50km of them as attack) would have been more important.

Rather divided week. Everyone stays at his place. Headcase had a good week and tries to catch up with GIK in fight against relegation. 6 different winners this week Now, we're up to the climax of the Giro. It seems like not only GIK, but also Groenenhoek and Crusaders trained fitness, so I expect some fireworks the last 3 stages!

ah oke, my mistake. Sorry, I have less time to spend on peloton so I am not that active anymore as I was before. I did notice the fitness update from Groenenhoek and Crusaders as well, I always thought that they would never use it to be honest. Well apparently the cry for victory is stronger at the moment. Curious to see which side the coin will flip For me only white jersey is left. I had some plans with De waen, but het got injured during training. Sadly:s
Bosko, youth races are always difficult to predict. Van der plaats ended 2nd with only TT 1...

Sadly:s Bosko, youth races are always difficult to predict. Van der plaats ended 2nd with only TT 1... Wow, I'm really surprised by reading that! I thought a decent TT skill was a minimum requirement to get any result (apart from a sprint race). Well, after 4 disappointing races this season, I'm seriously doubting if I should stop putting all the effort in these youngsters (or at least downsize my "youthteam"). Right now I have 7 21y olds: 1 leader/SP 1 TT specialist 1 MO specialist 1 MO/DO specialist 1 HI specialist 1 FL specialist 1 allrounder Than I also have 5 younger cyclists for the coming season. That are a lot of training spots and as you mention, the races are unpredictable (a fall and the race is ruined), so you might train a cyclist for 2 seasons without any result. I warned my youth team I expect some results in Tour de l'Avenir or there will be consequences!

That's an interesting statistic! I only hired those youth cyclists to fill up my available training slots. But indeed I own 2 or 3 21yo with whom I'm quite happy (which indeed would be Barendregt, Everts & Delarbre whom headcase already has listed). Thanks for counting these peas^H^H^Hoints! (And now let's check who's old enough to understand the ^H ;-) )
