Grats for (almost sure) winning the GC anyway Haha, yeah, that was a bit surprising. Guth took way more time than I expected in the Andorra - Peyragudes stage. Today I did not have any contestants, so it was fine for him to attack again. I had Haniq lined up for the last stage, but he got injured today (I think my 6th or 7th injury this season, never had so many!), so now it will be Guth all the way.

HI, can someone of you explain me yesterdar results between Rocha vs Platinaux in stage Andorra - Peyragudes. My rider won time in mountain and downhill, lost time in hill. My rider reach the last sections with only mountain and dh equal, and in that part Platinaux won more then 2 minutes to my rider. If needed I share my rider stats. In the report I see that Rocha attacks on stroke 3, but Platiaux doesn't. The same goes for stroke 7 (the 20km 14% mountain). On stroke 15 however both Platiaux and Rocha do attack. I think this is the reason that he does win time on this mountain, while loosing it on the earlier mountain strokes. After that stroke, Rocha is 2m30s behind. He then wins back 5 seconds in the downhill (no attack from both in the report), 11 seconds on the next mountain (only a (failed) attack from Rocha mentioned in the report), 2 seconds on the next downhill part and 9 seconds on the last mountain (no attack possible on both of them). So you loose the time only on the 18km 15% stroke (number 15), where both riders attack. So I think that Platiaux has some more sprint than Rocha, while the combined mountain/TT skill does not differ too much (combined with weight and mood Rocha will be a bit better on these than Platiaux, but not a lot).

Thanks bam for your opinion. I asked to Mother of invention to share with you the riders stats and I will to so you can have a better look, because in my point of view my rider has better mountain, could be the sprint factor, I will see if the rode together other times to check.

My hopes for a stage win this season as gone, today was my last chance I think.
Never expect to see a mountain rider winning today but Kimus did. Congratz Heppie

Didn't expect Kimus to win either. He's actually a zero on hill...

Next week the final week of the season: 4 one-day races and a tiny tour. I still hope to challenge bam, but I think I lost a bit too much this week. The gap now is 213 points, which is not impossible but it will be very hard. Also interesting is the battle for place 7 and 8. Do we get 7 Dutch flags in a row? Can The Mothers of Invention avoid relegation with a good last week?

It indeed seems unlikely that he won't be able to defend a gap of 213 points, I hope it will be an exciting week though! You guys had nice battle this season, I'm curious how things will progress next season.
I pickup up another 2 injuries this week, not sure what's happening with my guys this season!

I don't hope it will be an exciting week
I should not give this one away anymore, but I think that heppie can close this gap. Some of his cyclists (Lasat, Freitas, Froment) seem to win a bit more easily than mine, and that can bring him a lot of points this week. But we'll see at the end of the week.
Good luck everyone with the last week!

Today the most important race of the season; the world championships. Who can keep Lasat from the rainbow jersey? I think no one.

I also think Lasat will take this one. But in GP de Ouest France, a somewhat comparable race I think, Belluzzo and Miranda were quite close (only a 15 second gap). So maybe a younger rider can surprise now (but even when they are in the same group, I think that Lasat will win the sprint...).

What a surprise. Miranda did. Congratz Eboese!

Ouch, I had hoped to win this one. The fall didn't help, but even without that, Lasat wouldn't have won I think. Congratz eboese. Like bam said, in GP Ouest France it was already clear that the competitors came closer.

What a nice surprise, didn't think Miranda would win this. The race report was quite exciting as well, nice battle between those 3 throughout the race. Once Miranda got the flat I figured he was done for, but luckily he managed to get back to the 2 leaders (Lasat's fall did help somewhat ) I spend a lot of money on this guy, good to get something back

Only 108 points left of the 213 I started with this week. It are gonna be a tense last 3 days. Don't feel too good about my chances in 2 of the 3 races either
Impressive gap of Papaert today by the way, more than 0.8 km/h faster than the number 2

Could be exciting! Heppie still has Froment, Freiras and Guerrolt. I think you are lucky that Eboese has Imperial left and Giraudo will definitely score points in Lombardia and Clerckx and Savi in Kazakhstan. So my prediction is that you don’t need to worry.
