for me, and I speak for myself, I always wait until the next weekend to buy merchandise. After the last race is simulated I buy everything I need and renew contracts. That's just a habit. So, when I read pollyjean's thread, asking how the timing would be, Helder replied that there would be an update on Sunday. So I was like, nothing to worry about, I do it as usual.
Yes, there was an in game announcement made, but I barely read those. I always assumed that the info on forum and in game would be similar? Guess not apparently.
Anyway, nice gesture from you guys to give at least some merchandise money back, but still, frustrating evening which could all be prevented with just a little more communication:-) I suggest that schizm or Helder make a closed thread at the end of this season saying this is the deal and nothing else?

I missed the update because of a holiday I returned of yesterday. So my intention was to buy merchandise today and renew a contract today. Now I missed that so the contract of my cylist expired which is something I did not intend to happen... Is this something which can be modified?

I just moved 6 cyclists back into their team (seems only six cyclists were on a one week contract, and did not retire in the update).
the table for merchandise compensation is made, I just want to consult EG about what we are gonna do with the teams that do not use the best price for their stuff before we start giving the money.

44 cyclists who were on the transferlist and above 37 were put back in their team and are back on the transferlist with the same bid, deadlines have been slightly adjusted when they were before this evening.

Everybody who did not sell (enough) merchandise was compensated. The difference in potential profit (!) has been put in bonus income. raul : the best profit can be made if you sell merchandise to half of your supporters. Prices are not hard to determine since they are all multiples of 5

Everybody who did not sell (enough) merchandise was compensated. The difference in potential profit (!) has been put in bonus income. raul : the best profit can be made if you sell merchandise to half of your supporters. Prices are not hard to determine since they are all multiples of 5 About everybody knows that you can make the best profit when you sell your merchandise at the right prices. So why not avoid the problem of forgetting to buy materials and having the complaints and compensations as yoy had to do now. Just give every manager the bonus profit of half the supporters? You make $55 profit for each supporter. So if you have 10.000 supporters after sundays race, you get a bonus of 5.000 supp times $55 = $ 275.000 profit. Just an idea. Another advantage, less bankrupcy and managers leaving the game.

I like that idea, as the mechanism now is a bit nonsense. I can understand that in the first season it was a game to discover the optimal values. But like now it is common knowledge what the best values are, the only "challenge"is not to forget and have enough cash available to buy ( like you get extra sorrow if you are not doing well). To me there is no game element in it - it is just an annoying feature.

I think chakra is right that there is no real challenge in not forgetting to buy stock in time. But maybe instead of making it an automatic profit we should make it more challenging. By changing the best price strategy every season and different for every team : Suggestion : New teams will inherit the simple strategy we have now, but when you get higher upon the ladder, you can earn more by changing to the right price. This can always be combined with the idea of an automatic stock refill (which is part of chakra's suggestion)

I'm not looking for more game features in this way. Changing price strategy every season would be very anoying instead of a game improvement.
