A brand new season in an improved Peloton. Welcome to all the newcomers! As I'm not able to spend much time on Peloton anymore, I won't aim too high and I'll go for Top 5. Good luck to everyone!

When i entered my team yesterday for the first week, i realised that i miss Some great riders, so i think i Will visite the transfermarket the next weeks.
I allways aim for promotion, But i only have a team for top 5, where i ended Every season in 2:2 the last couple of seasons.

first tour was a huge succes, and the fourth race of the season too, but off course Gommeren and Cornu are 2 of my best riders, so I would not have expected less.
First after the first week, after me it's getting closer to each other (and closer to me :-) )
Still looking after some great buy's, but I always forget that I'm bidding, so this week I didn't get Dekoning and Feringa, which would have given me a 3th place on friday and a 1st place today...

I have not enough money to buy one , that saids enough:-)
Joanteam bought 5 new "oldies" so he will be your competition for first place.

Rather happy about my first 2 weeks. Also glad to see the newcomers in this division made a qualityinjection. Lots of excellent cyclists! Joanteam seems ready to take the title indeed. Was already a strong overall team (lots of top 10 places last season, mostly position 6-10) and now bought some winners, so will be hard to beat this season.

I made it to 1st division because I ended 2nd in div2 after a close battle with Neo. I ended 2nd because some teams chose to play with young cyclists, so there wasn't much competition. Today the average level in division 2 is much higher. I had a large team with good cyclists, so I earned lots of points by ending position 3-10, but I didn't have real winners. In 1st division, the same cyclists ended in position 10-20, which earns you nothing, so it was a very difficult season for me.
I you're question is: should I go for position 2 or is position 3 better? That's different for everyone. If you have a few topcyclists, you can certainly earn enough points in 1st division. When you stay in division 2, you'll win more off course. It all depends on what you want: do you want to win every race, or do you want to be part of the elite of the game? Personally, I think people should always aim for the highest possible, which is division 1. But off course than you should have a team that is ready for that high level.
Also, I think the dominance of a few teams will reduce because of the age of lots of cyclists and division 1 will become more attractive in the future.

In 2-3 seasons, divison 1 is wide open. The dominance of Droeftoeters and Tossboom is based on the first generation cyclists which are all 35 or older. And they have simply the best of these. But also those two should think of how to go on after that.

I've got a youthscout now so already thinking about the future. Training 22 youngsters and 3 fitness each week so working on a future squad. That will take 10 seasons but winning is most important to me. Take what you can get...

That means that you'll have to take a step back a few seasons to come back with a new but very strong squad.

Meanwhile in division 2:1... Joanteam goes like a rocket! But a lot of his cyclists are 36 and older, so they will get less strong. I don't have the real mountain goats, so I'm having a hard time keeping up with the top 5 for the moment. Luckily, I can always fight for the youth jersey.

For the moment, Neo has a comfortable lead for position 2 (and I see he's bidding on Nassi, so still looking to improve his squad). Only 37 points between position 3 and 6. Everything still possible there. Very close competition!
