Are you sure it's 45 races as leader since he last popped on LS? Should pop in about 32 races (forgot the exact number).

I know. Normally it is between 32 and 38 races. After checking it out he has 50 races as a leader with LS 6. He had some seasons without LS, and now I'm trying to build him up to LS 7. Unfortunately he is stubborn and refuses to pop his skill. His age: 34. I keep excell files of each team member. When they pop, how many races, the effort in each stage, when LS, falls, flats, injuries... Strange...

Mostly just for fun. And evaluating the progress in falls, flats, LS, number of races (contract)... And as predicted Roger Habay won the race. I'm pretty sure there are better sprinters in the peloton, but with his experience and his skills he just couldn't lose. With 299 points in front and the financial prognose there is no point of return anymore. So Bartje you'll see me back 2nd Div next season.

Good to see you are keeping the posts up mate
I have been downsizing from 41 to 29 cyclists and keeping it British for the time being. As I have not been winning much I am only marginally in the black with the money. I hope for results in Romandie this week but do not hang much hope on the upcoming Giro.
I agree with comments on fitness BTW. It just allows teams with stars to use them more frequently without allowing less talented teams a look in. This adds to the massive difference between struggling teams and those grabbing all the cash and points.
I want to either...
1. run an all British cyclist team (currently so) 2. Run a completely home grown and trained team (therefore British as well - 70% there at present) 3. Just be successful.
I am not sure 1 and 2 are possible long term and be better than just survival which is pretty miserable in the game; although can be a challenge in itself!
I am confused how to achieve 3. from where I am? open to suggestions!

Hey Andy, glad to read something about you again. That is called "chauvinism". All British cyclists in a British team. In the very beginning of the game I tried that too. But it's quite difficult to maintain that objective an be succesfull. (In my case it was) I hungered for wins and lots of success and had to buy som decent cyclists with other nationality. And as the Belgians are very oftently competing with the Netherlands I try to eliminate my Netherland cyclists. Got still one (Duco Van Der Vrecken - 35yrs) But I'm going to sell him soon. Helas his my best climber at the time and a good leader. No hard feelings to the Netherlands. A very beautiful country but their food sucks. With three weeks to go to decreasing my trainer, I'll start training on mountain again (after a long long time) And hoping for some talent. As for the financial situations. Yes it is hard to maintain healthy. I like winning stages, but then there is Always (often) a winbonus to pay. So I just try to have good results without being first and paying huge bonusses. And yes, they should get rid of the fitness training for cyclists during tours. Perhaps I should review my tactics and also start with a new own grown team. Had already some pulls, but their secondaries are still low. Hope you can achieve your goals. Nbr 2 must be possible too. And as for being succesfull...time...time...time... CUL8R

77 points from 2000 Div points. I wonder if I can pass this milestone today in Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Going for the win. But who doesn't? Again it's a pitty not all the team enlisted the stage. 7 teams now. Hopefully Cyclist Devils, Benfica Sagres and Pegasus still will subscribe. Last U21 we had only 6 teams + Nightbiker (bot)

S.L. Benfica Sagres has put all his cyclist for sale!!! Another team leaving the competiton? So we'll have 1 bot team and 2 teams without cyclists?
Sorry to see him leave.

I think for you and maybe 2nd and third its fun winning all the time but for the majority of the division it is no fun just trying to survive on the scraps left on the table. The issue is that due to fitness training even the hope that the top cyclists cannot compete in every race is denied us weaker teams. I think the game is broken and unbalanced and that is why everyone leaves (other than established rich teams)

I fully agree with you. That's why I try to encourage the moderators to change something about finances. Increasing ponsorship, increasing the amount of supps, decreasing wage of trainer... You can read it in the forum 'General discussion - Showroom post your best' (not the best topic for it). Perhaps you already read it. I hope they find a solution real quick. If not, more teams will leave the game. Saw you bidding on some intresting guys I wanted too. Hope you manage to get them (but one ) in your team.

I guess turkeys dont vote for Xmas, if the designers and moderators are the ones winning too they may not think there is a problem. Nogoro from our division cleverly grabbed 2 of the guys I wanted for peanuts as I could not log on at the end of the auction (at work)
