Not too much damage after just showing-up in strade bianchi. Record week qua financial income though, so again very happy with week 2. Already 4 stage wins ... So I'm far ahead on initial goal of 1 victory per week.
Week 3 will be rather average qua income ...
Let's go to div.2! But first tour of Algarve.

I think you see things a litle too optimistic. Base sups are indeed bigger, but you need results to make them grow. The difference between top in 2nd and top in 3rd is pretty big. I have seen that your weekly wages are low. Thats a bless, but can also mean that you miss some quality which you will need in 2nd.
Anyway, i dont want to discourage you. If you got the ambition to reach div 1 then i say go for it. You are not the first one that tells me that and wont be the last either. Rarau did that in the passed, he never reached it:-) As for me, i dont have that ambition. I just wanna have fun, win some races, and dont have to mind about training or wages, or skills or finances or whatever. This is just a game, no one will be impressed if i tell them that i play in div 1 on peloton. Just my 2 cent.
That said, you're doing good davy. Seems the 3 of us are dividing the prices atm with a surprise every week. Keep it up mate. I hope hennerie will return. Would be sad to see boivin leaving the game that way. Algarve is decided i guess. Nice tactic from davy, it surprised me. I went for 2 stage wins, which cost me some attack points. We'll go for top 3 and a jersey

Perhaps I'm optimistic. But isn't that better than pessimistic? :-) From day 1 my goal was to reach div.1. The only way that is possible in my opinion is to build a squad from scratch. That's why I immediately started to invest in youth. That is why my wages are low: I got zero quality, as my core team is 23-26yr old. But within 5 seasons that would pay off! Off course I used prize money to buy some killer riders who can score points and give me "winning-pleasure". Else it would be boring. But it's all very balanced and sorted out. And the focus stays always on my youth.
It isn't logic at all, that with this strategy I consecutively jumped up into divisions. And probably I will suffer a bit next year if I promote. But I have financial reserve, and I can always sell my big (highest wages) guys, and just return to 3th division. As long my youth grows. If I wont return to div.3, that means I got some prizemoney too ...
At one point my kindergarten will be ready for trying to get to div.1. If I still have some money left at that moment, I could buy some Boivin-like-riders to enforce my squad and see where I end up.
And if it fails, too bad. Nobody would care like you say. But I'm enjoying it very much, and I spend quite some time managing this game. So I hope a bit it pays of :-) It's a nice hobby...
Algarve is decided yes. Question remains how many jerseys I'm going to bring home :-). Please tell me why you are surprised by my tactics? What where you expecting, and how did it go different?

I m very disapointed about my past decisions. I wanted to relegate from 2.1 and i did a big mistake. Now i m very upset on me.
In the past i may admit that i dont wanted to be in 1.1 because i thinked is more fun in div 2. And was some big teams on div 1. But now only 1 team is big and all the others have almost normal cyclists.
And of course every season i wanted to be on + with finances. Maybe was better to buy 2-3 stars and try to reach div 1. Till now my first target was to be nr 1 in Romania on number of races but now my target is to reach div 1. I dont know if will reach div 1 because my flat stars are too old and my mountain stars probably will not reach 15 mountain.
Last season i wanted to promote but i cant Naspa and Lucero was too powerfull -> now they have chances to promote on div 1 😑

well, i was surprised by the strenght of bourel, didnt see that one coming. Plus the fact that you went for GC, and not for the stage wins was totally unexpected. It crushed my strategy completely :-) Seems like one to watch for the GS's in the future.
Seems like hennerie is also back in business. And i noticed headcase has bought a decent hill cyclist. Will be an exciting season if you ask me.
I'll try to be more active on the forum, but cant promise anything. Most of the time i log on once a day to set tactics and thats about it:-s

I had a total off-week. On monday I placed my favourite at 75% instead of 100%. Good chance I had won. And then in T-A everything went wrong. I went for GC with Geneau. It was the firtst time he could go to a tour as leader. But it went totally wrong: Wrong tactics, stupid fall and time-loss, and he didn't perform as I expected. I thought he would be better in mountain.
So very disappointed! I was more than 300 points ahead, but now i'm catched again. I hope for a better week next week! Everybody seems to be strong all of a sudden. Interesting!

Giro has started. After a few races i think bourel will take it. I expected a battle between him and boivin, i think the tactical choices will decide and there tower will make the difference. Sometimes i dont understand the choices hennerie makes, but who am i:-) i guess boivin his stats are slightly better, but tower understands the game better... still impressed by bourel, want to know his stats after this season:-) he was a complete unknow cyclist for me, until now.
as for my team, i hope to reach the 3rd spot with clementino. I hoped to be closer, but lost 5mins today. Thats end of story, i know where to work on. Aiming for stage wins and maybe a polked jersey is all whats left for me
merry xmas peepz

evildI would love to react, but it's wiser to wait until giro ends, for understandable reasons :-) But as far as I see it, giro has not started yet. Giro really starts next sunday. Everything before is just saving energy, scanning and sensing. Predictions: GC: Bourel has done a great job so far, but the races really fitted him. From sunday, real mountains start and with Boivins reputation he must win at all time. Clementino will end 3th easily, no worries. Polka dot: In the mountains Boivin is sooooo good, so therefore I wouldn't put much hope on your polka dot jersey :-) Green: Unable to predict. Probably again a duel between Boivin and Bourel. But saving energy in a stage could cost a lot of green points, so Veland still got a chance too.

Again, strange tactical decision from hennerie today. He went all in with boivin. He took the stage victory, the lead in the gc and some points for the polked jersey, but i think he lost the giro by doing this. He will start the 2 heavy mountain stages with only 72% fitness. With only a 2min lead on bourel, who will start at 97%, that wont be enough. Also clementino, blanquet and lonfils will start at 100% but are on a safe distance. Even though you never know what the lack of fitness can bring. Bourel wins the giro, boivin and clementino on the podium. Im going to try to tickle boivin for spot 2, and maybe i can make bourel somewhat nervous. We will see.
Good week for me. Cinca and delafeunte ruled romandie. Made 2 mistakes. In casentino i forgot to play lorge at 100% and ended at 6sec. And today my plan was to go all in with blanquet, but holidays ruined my plans :-) alcohol is the devil.... xD nevertheless good week, nice profit and lots of points.
happy 2017 to ya'll
