I was just thinking: maybe 3 races per age is not enough? Maybe create 4 categories (U23, U25, U27, U29) and have 6 races per category? Why would that be better than 8 categories with 3 races? In my proposal a 24 year old cyclist can participate 3x at <24, and e.g. 3x at <25. In your proposal that cylist can only participate 6x at <25 (<27 probably wouldn't make sense). I thought there was a ranking per category, but I see now you're idea is to have 1 ranking for all races together. In that case the 8 categories can stay indeed.

There will probably be many subrankings, but main one is the total competition indeed.

It seems there is enough interest for the competition, so I'll make a race calendar this week. I think the first funraces will be in 3 weeks.
If you would like to participate, but didn't say it yet in this topic, then please do so we have a good estimation of the amount of teams that will participate.
ElGringo and Seberla will complete the organizing team.

A team of organizers (names will follow when the team is complete) will set up the furnaces, update rankings, send password to teams to participate races etc.
Why a password ? Why not accessible for everybody ?

When we have for example 18 teams participating at the competition then I want to give priority to them. They need to be sure they can participate. But we could perhaps put a deadline a few days before the race, after which the password will be open for everyone, so new teams that want to participate can fill up the remaining spots. The password is also needed when we would have 2 divisions. So people can only sign up at the right race.

I don't have too many young racers, and i actually train them pretty strangely for when they'll get older, but i like the idea, so i'm in!

I am limited to 1 furnace. So I am not interested anymore. These extra races in this topic are for paying managers.
A pitty, nice idea anyway

Today I tried to join a second funrace and could not. There was a text in red ink, saying that I already had joined a funrace this week.
