Only teams that are BOT demote from 5th to 6th division, the best active teams promote to 4th, the others stay in 5th. Each season all division are redivided mainly based on the date they joined, so more experienced users will face a tougher opposition. Since this only leads to numbers form 5 to 8 active teams / division at the start of each season I am certain that even smaller division aren't needed for the moment (even now a lot of these end up with only two, one or even zero active managers at the end of the season).
So the problem is shifted to the teams that go to 4th, but since these are the better teams they probably already had atleast 1 season where they could earn big and so have had plenty of opportunity to prepare for a division with more opposition (and less money).
We are always open for improvements, any suggestions are welcome. But keeping the big picture in mind, finding a perfect balance seems nearly impossible : - small divisions more chance to earn money, but also a bigger chance to have empty divisions or divisions with no opposition, so less fun to play. - big divisions less chance to earn money, but also a smaller chance to have empty divisions or divisions with no opposition, so more fun to play.

I want fun at this moment, not thinking in winning the 2nd or 1st division. We, the new players want to enjoy the potential of this game playing competitive races against other managers with our low level cyclists now at the moment. We are not thinking in saving money for having a decent 2nd/3th division team in one year. In my case, I hope to ascend to 5th division and play at least against 4-5 active managers, no matter if they have better teams or not. If I see a desserted 5th division group, I'll quit.
Only 8-9 managers are active and login usually in 6th division.

some figures to prove my case ... Participating teams per division Giro d'Italia (non BOT teams) 1:1 11 2:1 11 2:2 10 3:1 9 3:2 11 3:3 10 3:4 10 4:1 5 4:2 7 4:3 2 4:4 7 4:6 4 4:7 4 4:8 5 5:1 4 5:2 3 5:3 2 5:4 3 5:5 1 5:6 3 5:7 1 5:8 2 5:9 2 5:10 3 5:11 2 5:12 3 5:13 3 5:14 2 5:15 3 5:16 0 6:1 2 6:2 1 6:3 5 6:4 5 6:12 2 Eindtotaal 158
I can also tell you that we put atleast 7 non-BOT teams in each 5th division at the start of season 13.

maybe no more 5the div and more teams per div?? My first thought is: very good idea, that makes very active divisions. But On the other hand, new teams won't win anything in division 4 and Will get financial problems very fast…

I like it ;D. When I want information about a manager browser game the first thing I like is to see images of the game. And peloton trailer reminds me of hattrick football game ;D
Good work

Looks good, but you can't actually see/read the screenshots, which makes them useless.

I like the commercial too. It gives a good and honest impression.
I think in the future, you can reach a larger public when the game can be played in a more graphic way. Especially, the races. As the game is not so graphical, it's more attractive for real lovers of cycling/strategy games. Most people like flashy graphics. But don't get me wrong ... It's a fantastic game!
Perhaps kicking in an open door ... But in a far away history I played hattrick game. Can there be given an explanation why they have?/had millions of players, and peloton only hundreds? Because both games are very similar. I think. When you find the good answers of that question, you can find perhaps other commercial solutions (f.e. making an app, ...).
In any way as I understand in my only 3 weeks membership: the whole game depends on the spare time of 1-2 persons. That is definitely the weak point.

About the content: I miss the possibility of transfers. Thats what makes it a "manager game" for me. Maybe add a slide saying something like "eplore the transfer market".
About the looks: Looks great, but I agree with tossboom. I don't think you should really be able to read everything, because after all, the add should only make people curious. But the screenshots are made "shiny" and that takes away a lot of the view. Removing the "shinyness" should be already a lot better I think.
@ davyduck: I can imagine flashy graphics would take a lot of programming work (for the moment, I don't think that's an option) and could cause a lot of problems too (maybe speedproblems?). Maybe one day, it could make the game more popular indeed. But in a way, I find the simplicity of Peloton charming. It's true that there are a few players who are extremely important for the game and keep it alive. We can't thank them enough!

There are times that I have more free time and others don't and I am the only one working with the peloton facebook. Is anyone interested in help?
