Half of my plan today worked pretty well - Mateescu on 100% to pick up the sprint points before any attack points (rare that this is possible) he didn't have a chance to do anything as an attacker for the rest of the Giro so this stage design was a bonus. Is it a big enough lead? Lapalus and Mace on 20+ points and 90% fitness are the only challengers? I actually used Roy as a 75% attacker too, he stole 3 mountain points before attack points, but then I guess couldn't compete with those on 100% for the later ones. Would he have won the initial 3 on 70%? I don't know. Hard to say whether the 5% is worth it yet. With the attack points being later than usual in the stage, I though the time gaps might be smaller, it does look bad for Iorga currently. Now I have to decide whether to prioritise the fight for Iorga or the fight for Roy, it's gonna be tough to do both. It's fun though, I think. These big tours make you actually think...

Bad luck today for me with the fall of Cotto, not that he could have won, but could have put more pressure on Lapalus, but from now he only can go down with 60% fitness left.
Now its time for Mace to catch up with Lapalus, who looks better on hills but weaker on mountains.
My favourites for last normal stage are Rapajic, Granato and Iorga on that order, with the most probable podium at the end, behind: Lapalus, Mace and Tamilia

My giro has "ended" today with my last fit rider on 100% and my 4th stage win this tour . Really much better than I expected, seems I underestimate my riders (or I am just lucky with many of you focussing on the GS ).

Next stage will probably be difficult for Lapalus, if he has to lose the pink jersey it will be tomorrow ... But I hope he will not waste too much time (if he does) so he can strike back in the final ITT !
To be honnest, i'm pretty sure Mace will rank first after next race ... unless he falls or has some flat tires...let's turn the wheel of fortune, throw spikes and pour oil on the road!

Congrats to Mace for winning the pink jersey! I just missed my goal (top 5 GC) with Miglioranza 6th. Happy with the team jersey again Do you actually get points and prizemoney for this?

You do get points (30 points for the winner, 20 points for second, 10 for third, 5 for fourth and 3 for fifth) but, just as in the youngster jersey, no money.

I haven't posted in a while. I'm still here!! /checking the forum every day. Ha. I've had a good couple of weeks (thanks for the tables bam, kutgw!). Decent Giro haul in the end - a 1st, two 2nds and a 3rd in the 3 jersey races. Feringa is still a beast, took that (slightly cheaty/unfair) stage and basically ALL the points which meant he won 2 jerseys in the Bayern Rundfahrt (no PAN probably/obviously helped too) If he was less impressive and I didn't want him for the TdF, I might've tried for a clean sweep in the last stage Today: wow, 9.5 / 10 for my tactics working. I looked at the stage and those first 15 sprint points looked really appealing (and getable), sadly didn't have one rider who could take those AND challenge for the stage, but as I say, it basically worked out and I did both anyway, and with only 6 attacks between two riders, I'm a bit surprised. I think I have good candidates to win the next two stages as well, but, I'm just waiting for the next run of PAN stage wins also. I guess I like that I've taken the division lead, but I'm not sure I can hold it. Hopefully it is a proper contest until the end of the season now though. Some early TdF averages: 7 6.4 8.6 3.8 5.6 8.8 (40.2) 12.2 13.6 Good luck duuuuudes.

You do get points (30 points for the winner, 20 points for second, 10 for third, 5 for fourth and 3 for fifth) but, just as in the youngster jersey, no money. Is there a page where u can see how many points/money u get with ur place in the GC/moutain/points/team standings? That would be interesting Very happy with the 2nd place in GC in Bayern Rundfahrt hopefully i can do it again in the Dauphiné with Herman but i fear the big flat parts in the last stage.

Oh wow, unlucky today Zapardiel, Geslin fell 9 minutes from the end, and had been winning sprints all day. Hillaert kept losing them, but got the stage win. I guess I'll take it! Halfway through the season and I've still not won a yellow/time jersey They're overrated man, why do they get all the glory anyway *promotes the other two*

I think I just accidentally learnt something about training Slightly annoying for this week, but luckily it only affected two cyclists, and won't cost me more than 7k if I want to reverse it.

Big gaps made on first TdF stage I have a nice squad: 7.8, 7, 10, 4.4, 5.4, 7.8, but I doubt I know how to play it
