\o/ good work bam. Time for a sleep now. On today: howw many times can I come 2nd to the same team? (the answer is 5 by the way. I've had 7 2nds this season, 5 of them to PAN) Cali averages coz stats are fun. 4.8, 7.4, 9.6, 3.6, 5.6, 8.6. = 39.6, which is higher than my Giro squad. Oops. It says to me your cyclists need some sprinting sesions there, or more attack points What a pity that fall of Buitenhuis today, in a crucial attack point, losing much more than 1 minute, and good options for GC. 6.8, 6.6, 9.4, 5.2, 4.2, 7.6 here

Still pink jacket at the end of the Giro first week ! Quite unexpected but this kind of tour is ideal for my best riders ... I hope that Lapalus will finish the 2nd week at a good place but it will be more difficult (11 min lost today...) By the way he's one of my 3 best.. if he doesn't make a result in this tour, the season will be really hard for the Cyclist Devils

I had a pretty decent week, Iorga in 3rd in the Giro is pretty good. Roy can maybe get close to the mountain jersey too. Maybe. Two more stage 2nd places after complaining about them though. I'll trade them for an equal amount of 1st and 3rds from now on please! In other news, I've had a spreadsheet error, Rhone-Alpes-Isere is a junior tour! No-one told me. It has so many knock on effects. My best / only good 20 year old is on 80% fitness, there's 3 stages I was trying to win with senior riders gone, aand they're all just sitting around for another week getting dusty and bored instead. I can't even schedule them some extra training sessions. I hope I didn't take any effort from Feringa in the Pais Vasco tour so he was fit for this week, but that's also possible My fault I'm sure, it's pretty annoying though. If anyone here doesn't check the transfer market regularly - I've got a 28yr old 40 skill on there. 12m, 7h, 7tt.

At first i made the same mistake with the junior tour ... but i reacted earlier to correct some tactics After the good prestation of Lapalus in Giro's first week, another satisfaction in the begining of this one is the Time jersey for Vanthillo in California. It is much more unexpected for me than Lapalus standing. By the way, Vanthillo has probably a worst CA than lapalus but being younger he trains better and begin to be stronger... Iorga seems to be equal to Lapalus in several skills ... (probably better in mountain, weaker in hill)... After training, everyone in the 10 first places are around 95% fitness except the 2 mountain guys: Herzberg and Roy who are around 85%. Jimenez riders seems untouchable in mountain but mountain jersey can be win in hills too .... Let's see how all this will go on with the first "flat" stage of the Giro.

I had big hopes for Tour of California, but I will say I had a bit of bad luck. I was hoping for last stage and GS, but in the end Garcia was not strong enough to fight for the last stage even despite the flat, and Buitenhuis, my GS guy had another 2 falls finishing even behind peloton and losing at least a podium and team clasification Fingers crossed for not losing time on todays Giro stage, expecting a nice week and an exciting Giro

Garcia would have probably caught the California GS if he didn't had fell... Regarding Giro standings Tamilia and Iorga are close to Lapalus and have approximately the same amount of fitness (and Tamilia already recover 4 minutes lost in the TTT) Misotten recover time too but he is only 80% fitness ... seems less dangerous... The 2 others that worry me are Mace and Cotto with 97% fitness left, but they seems to play equal game with my leader... Many riders are still playing the pink jacket, but remember one thing: Lapalus never falls ! Let's try to find the final winner: He is among: Lapalus Tamilia Iorga and Mace All others have already lost !

Yeah my Misotten is probably too low to catch the pink jersey but I hope he'll be in the top 5!

Agree, but I would not discard yet Cardei, Spindler and Rapajic, or even Granato or Cotto For GS at the U-21 Tour my favourites are: Cardinal, Mata, Kern, Liekens and Nieberg. Less posibilities for Delafosse, Raemdonck, Peters and Voinea

In fact, i agree with you: Giro is not lost for around 10 riders But i wanted to be a little polemic to generate some reactions Moreover my bet is riskier Concerning junior tour, i'm ok for Cardinal, Liekens and Mata... But don't underestimate Delafosse who is not supposed to fall in each stage: it will be in or near the 3!

Cardinal is not good. I said before I really don't have a good u20 rider. Maybe Cagan is alright, but he started on 80% fitness (excellent work from him today btw, 2 falls and a flat, and a lazy 2+ minutes behind anyone else...I mean sure, I had him on "save fitness", but he took it too far!). Hillen might be something in 2 seasons.
Impressive from Zapardiel, 2 in a row, getting closer to me now. Maybe there will be some competition for 2nd, especially with a lot of junior stages to come.

Its PAN´s Cardinal, who was impressive on first stage on 70% I wont be much of a competitor for 2nd, unless I start winning a bit more out of the U21 races, Giro will tell much about it... Bad luck for Nieberg with a fall, one competitor less I would say GS will finish: Cardinal Kern Mata Liekens But it will depend more on the effort used for last stage, next week there is another U21 race...
