The last week of the Giro is going to be interesting. Pre-update standings: 1. Lacroux 31 0 23:05:09 Warner Bros Racing (78%) 2. Smiling 23 8 +15 Neo (75%) 3. Bulteau 23 8 +42 Neo (78%) 4. I hope to fight for next 3 stages; team clasification (that Neo will take); and Mace to fight 4th in GS with Bouquin, Pecanha, Zanna and Singerman; but dont have a plan for mountain classification and Vadim will not win it for sure I guess it will be Singerman, Smiling or Bulteau

Looks like barring a crash Smiling has it.
I had Lacroux conserve energy on stage 7 and in retrospect that likely cost him. He might have lost some more time on the later stages had he done a low energy attack there, but he lost nearly 3 minutes on that stage.

Pre-tour standings:
1. Warner Bros Racing 8 5 2 1 2568 2. The Mothers of Invention 15 2 2 2 2333 3. Zapardiel 8 0 2 3 2272 4. Neo 4 2 2 1 2134
5. NUFAN ( No Use For A Name) 3 1 1 0 1411 6. WC VroOom 6 0 0 0 1304 7. Snake Milano 4 0 1 0 1132 8. Tokmok Racers 3 1 0 1 1049 9. Pegasus Cycling 1 0 0 0 913 10. BJA Cycling Team 1 0 1 1 710 11. LeeuwenOpWielen 0 0 0 1 668 12. Nattramn 0 0 0 1 206
I think the top 4 teams are the ones in legitimate contention for promotion. A significant gap has opened between 4 and 5.
I'm bringing a youth rider to the tour, but my others average out to:
FL - 5.75 HI - 7.75 MO - 6.5 DO - 3 SP - 6.25 TT - 7
Obviously all get lower with the youth guy added in.

Interesting last stage left for Tour of Austria. Seabra (Warner) is the favourite for Time Jersey in my opinion, but will Cariello (Snake) be able to retain it? And Delville (BJA), Chasson (NUFAN), Dutheil (Zapardiel) or Van Brunschot (Leeuwen) will be able to enter this fight? Mountain and points jersey will be probably won by the same guy that wins the last stage, but I would prefer those jerseys to stay with its actual owners

It took me a while to realize that Seabra was more suited to stage races. He's my most well rounded rider... but that means no one terrain skill is that good for him.
The last stage in Austria has 2 or less attack points on each terrain and is divided 53/40/40/66 by km.... it does set up well for him. 2 minutes is a pretty big lead though.

Current standings:

2. Warner Bros Racing 9 5 2 1 2983 3. The Mothers of Invention 19 2 2 2 2923 4. Neo 6 2 3 1 2745
5. NUFAN ( No Use For A Name) 8 2 2 2 2169 6. Snake Milano 5 1 1 0 1728 7. WC VroOom 6 0 0 0 1579

12. Nattramn 0 0 0 1 412
Zapardiel really surged through the tour and has taken a pretty strong lead. I have hopes Seabra will win Utah and bring me fairly close at the beginning of the Vuelta... but there are a lot of mounatins in that race. Lacroux is a solid all-round rider though, so we'll see if he can sneak his way to a win there.
Still very tight with the top 4... and pretty tight with places 8-11 fighting for one spot to avoid relegation.

Well, Seabra won the last stage of Utah and took all the jerseys, but there's still a big gap to Zapardiel (250 points). He limited the damage effectively by taking second.
I've got a bit more of a gap to second at least.

Nr Cyclist Pts Mou Time Team 1. Lacroux 39 3 1.10:20:18 Warner Bros Racing 88% 2. Smiling 30 0 +12 Neo 89% 3. Zanna 31 14 +1:20 Tokmok Racers 64% 4. Posada 20 6 +3:07 Zapardiel 97% 5. Wahlroos 37 12 +5:07 Snake Milano 90%
Interesting 3 stages left on Vuelta a España and few cyclist left on the time jersey battle.
Similar as in Giro D Italia, Lacroux and Smiling both have an interesting lead and fight for time jersey. I guess Lacroux is better at mountain while Smiling has better TT skills, lets see if Lacroux can retain time jersey this time, or Smiling will win a big tour again this season.
Zanna should lose time because his fitness lack, which is the strength for Posada, looks like an easy podium for him or for Wahlroos, but they are far away from the leaders.
Points jersey looks good for Lacroux (could win it again after Giro) and Wahlroos, with little options for Smiling if he does superb.
Mountain jersey will be for the strongest mountain attacker in next stage
And finally Team standings with a fierce battle between Snake Milano and Neo with little options for Zapardiel.

Yaeh, i took 3.30 minutes in the last stage and everything is back exciting
I do fear Posada actually, because of his fitness and we all know Zapardiel does climb very well
Let's hope for no flats or falls for anyone so the battle will be on skills Good luck all

Of course Posada will have a try at GS, he is not bad, but he is not a top climber, so I seriously doubt he can take 3 minutes back on solid guys. Mace who is my best climber here, will go for the ITT so a bit changed roles in my squad

From,12 seconds behind Lacroux, to 9 seconds behind Posada...
The difference in fitness and Posada on 100% and Smiling on 89%
Lets battle this on out on the time trial
Lacroux is always very calme on his fitness which was not the best option today...
