Very happy with today's result, but just wanted to add to the discussion regarding balancing your team: I wouldn't recommend focussing too much on one terrain like I have. You have no idea on what the balance of the parcours will be in seasons to come, which is a factor you can't control, and you will be going from feast to famine in patches throughout the season. Much better, I think, to spread the fun out and have a chance of doing well almost every race like Franconia.
Anyways, chapeau to Franconia on a great season so far.

Well, Kimbain and Koereurs are by far the strongest and GSc has selected also strong TT riders. So if one of their riders will be in good postition after the second stage, he will be the top favorite. Otherwise the differences will be small I guess.

I don't have a really strong TTT team for this small tour. Too many TT's in such a short time! Lol I don't consider myself as a favourite because I won't have 5 100% fitness cyclists. Teams that are able get very high fitnesses Rats (5x100% possible) GSc (4x100% and 1x 98% possible) I don't think Amrom will finish good next stage, too much flat But I'll try my best. Seems like most of us have the same tactics. One cyclists going for advantage in the first two stages and the other four need to bring him as fast as possible to the finish in the TTT. Well, this will give small time differences in the TTT

Exciting! Great performance by Pecego. He and Amron will fight for the victory. I think Kimbain will win the TTT but I don't know if he can make up almost 2 minutes!

Amrom did better than expected. The TTT is very long, I really don't know what to expect Most exciting race for me too, because for the first time this season I have a small chance to win a jersey!

Small? I don't know the flat and hill skill of the other 4 riders of Kimbain, so I cannot tell if he can make up for the time difference. At least Bloedzak and I are no competition for you.

Damn, the final climb was just a little too short for Brinks.
For my likings, I have quite a good TT-squad, but most are not 100% fit, so I will probably be beaten easily. I could have used the injured Dales now..

Why wouldn't Rats win the TTT? I think he has the best fitnesses and has flat/hill cyclists, no? Let's hope nobody suffers an injury with sunday update to keep competition fair on this one San Brunone already misses one cyclist, Duris.

I meant that Kimbain will win the TTT from you. The difference from Rats' first rider in the GC is too big. Or anybody alse can win the TTT. I was just considering who would win the yellow jersey.

Congrats to Zberg on today's stage. Canart & Boivin were chasing Guiggi for ages but could never catch him. My tactics for the 2nd stage of the Vuelta a Burgos were not good, but there was nothing different I could have done today to finish any better.

Thanks, Whistler. I am kinda proud that I was able to beat the best mountain team in the game in the queen's stage of the Tour de France.. At the same time, it is somewhat worrying that two of your riders, that are not your best ones (?), are able to finish so close to, by far, my best mountain rider.

I used a wrong type of cyclist today I guess. Finishing very bad, after cyclists going 75%, lol

Congrats Quatannens on Amrom's win after a very closely fought TTT today.
3 of my riders popped in leadership on the stage, so I think they had organised a few powerpoint slides and a bit of motivational paintball mid-stage rather than getting on with racing.
