I think are some important problems with calendar 1. Norwood - Campbelltown first stage of Santos Tour Down Under is number 3 second stage McLaren Vale - Willunga Hill is stage 5 stage 3 Adelaide Street Circuit is 6 and so on 2. Cosenza - Matera (Giro 2013) of Giro, stage 2, is put stage 0 and so on i think those 2 things could put some problems 3. U21 stages are too difficult and only for mountain trainers 2/26/2014 We U21 Giro del Casenti... 11 % mountain 3/5/2014 We U21 Firenze - Mare 10% mountain and to near/soon previous U21 3/18/2014 Tu U21 Chatel - Morzine this stage is for Malton not for U21 50 km of mountain , last 25 km with 15% U21 Rund um den Henninger-Turm , near normal, 22 km mountain U21 Giro di Lombardia , 37 km mountain, 22 km with 12% mountain where are the races for normal U21 cyclists? Who are not trained mountain but everyother skill?

The chronological sequences of the stages of nearly all tours are incorrect. If that cause some problems, we should fix it. For example, in the Vuelta there are even two first stages...

I fear that the wrong chronological sequence will indeed cause problems. Mountain U21 races are good for me, so no problem with that

Does anyone have a logical explanation for the new calender starting on 22 january?? Why do we have to wait another 2,5 weeks before starting with the new season? For me, this will cost me a lot of money because I cannot generate any extra income by winning races

There is only one real mountain U21 race. Others are more multiskilled so I don't agree with Rarau. Last seasons it was mostly flat, so this year mountain is no problem.
I do agree with Bart. 22nd as the first race is absurd. I think that should be at least the 15th. Maybe even next monday.

I agree with starting the season earlier (if everything is fixed)!

1. I am responsible for making the stages of the Tour Down Under, but I believe that these stages aren't the ones I made. And I would say that all tours should be in chronological order, but there is enough time to fix it. 2. Same as 1. 3. Don't agree. The U21 races are fine. All round cyclists and mountain cyclists have indeed an advantage, but there are enough other flat stages. And the start on 22 January is too far away. I would shift the start to 15 January or perhaps 13 January. I and many others can't wait that long!

Calender changed to this wednesday 8th January! That is soon. Hopefully this won´t cause any problems. An announcement would help to raise awareness.

Hi,
related to the calendar we use to choose the stages we want and we don't follow any sequence of stages and they worked fine till now, I never saw this problem.
Related to U21, the 2 last season the majority of U21 stages were flat, so this season I chose to give the opportunity to all round riders win, the flat riders can win because there are stages with many attacking point in the beginning with flat.
The calendar was made to start this week (day 8/9).
