True Seems my team isn't really strong overall. Some good cyclists, but the second row isn't good enough at all to take some points. Or I just use wrong tactics and focus to much on victories Just to show something: I have about 1250 points. Victories: 11x60=660 points, and than some points for the yellow jersey and the mountain jerseys I don't think I had much top-10 places this season

It also means that when you go for a victory, you often succeed. You got some mentally strong cyclists that do not fail when the pressure is high

Lol The pressure is high now, a victory can bring my team to an 8th place. Let's see if they really are mentally strong, because if they win something now, the they after they almost always have a bad day

De Koereurs; 2nd most victories, 2nd most mountain jerseys, 2nd most yellow jerseys and still at 9th place... it's a hard division...

Yes, and he is still pretty good placed in the GC Wonder if anyone can be a threat if EGV goes for the GC Ravazzi won't, he must have 1.0 TT and Borrego 0.8, because otherwise it's impossible to explain Guess Malton has a some decent TT as well to finish that high.

I think Malton has had some training on TT but his mountain skill is that high that it compensates. You congratz on your third victory already. You are now entering the safe zone.... Tomorrow will be a battlefield. I find tactics very hard for tomorrow since I see a lot of riders saved fitness for tomorrow. Important day for the mountain jersey. I think, if anyone want to win that, he has to go on 100%, but then you are going to loose a lot of time the stages after... No clue so far what my tactics will be. With the fitness of guys like Malton, Bregge and Borrego, I have no chance for the MJ, so that eases things up for me..

I'm happy Borrego could win the stage. Even at a much higher effort, he only just manages to stay in front of Malton... It was a good day for the mountain jersey, but Malton took to many points. In the next mountainstages Malton will probably win the mountain jersey as well Anyway, 4 victories already this Vuelta, could be worse

Nice :-) Malton is saving fitness again He will be unstoppable flying up the Angliru I hope to get one more stagewin in the final TT, that would make more than enough victories this Vuelta

Why did yoy put Borrego on save fitness? That is killing for GC, unless you go for a stage win with him. If you go for the GC it's very normal you go for 60% the first race of the week, because now it costs you 10 fitness, but in the next 3 races you have 3x4 fitness extra and can spend 4 extra fitness. So for the GC that is much better, also because the big differences will be made in the last stage of the week. The 10% less effort today costs him probably only 1 minute. Genomico, thanks for the advice!!! I have now two guys at 98% at fourth and fifth place in the GC and they haven't lost a second. Pity you also followed your own advice

Quite some activity in our thread, which, of course, I missed completely lately.. Anyway, good luck during the last few races of the season! With quite a few "flat" races remaining for the season I will probably not be able to make it a complete Dutch podium.. On the contrary, the Vuelta doesn't contain enough flat kilometres to beat Malton..
