Best teams (best average time of 3 best cyclists) I wander... does everyone think this is the way it should be?
for example Giro this season:
1. Loesjen Van Impe 6:29:08 2. Kannikoerski +13:37 3. Neo +16:39 4. Houthakkers +21:03 5. De Groeihormoontjes +27:42 6. Vettige Swastika en zijn paard +29:35 7. SeMTeX +32:50 8. de gele tricot +33:39 9. Ajax +48:25 10. Frank&Frey will quit next week +54:20 SeMTeX won 4 out of 11 stages in this Giro.
I propose a bonus for stage wins to ad points to the team standings in big tournaments like Giro-TDF-Vuelta

I don't agree. Teams that come for one shot cyclists would be better in this ranking, whereas they are far from the best teams in average...

These teams don't have to be the winners of this ranking but should be higher up the ladder. By adding bonuspoints (only for this ranking ofcourse) to the top 3 cyclists every stage, this team ranking would be a lot more interesting.

You already have the 20' 12' 6' of time bonus for the top 3.

You already have the 20' 12' 6' of time bonus for the top 3. You must be misreading me every time. the 20''-12''-6'' of time bonus is still only TIME bonus. What I propose is: *Best 3 cyclists get points for their finishing time. For instance ending 1st: 60 points, 2nd 59 points etc. *Finishing first in a stage gets 10 points, 2nd = 8 points and 3d = 6 points. This way the ranking for teams will only be SLIGHTLY different to what it is now. Maybe now you get what I mean?

Most teams like Semtex are trying to win some races, but do not want to promovate to a higher division, so no i do not totally agree with the idea of also implementing the winning of stages in this statistic

I also don't see the point in giving a bonus to team standings for race victories. Team standings are what they are: average time of the top 3 cyclists.

I'm in 2de division 7th place. And believe me, I can't do better than that. So don't use SeMTeX in that sentence of yourse.

Not all stages of a tour are important for the final victory.
You could, for example, try to win the flat stages, but those are usually not the deciding stages in the tour where the yellow jersey is won.
The other way around counts as well: you can win the yellow jersey even by never winning a stage.

its not a personal attack, so don't throw your chair at your laptop .. should have pronounced it more in general - the only thing i meant by my previous post was that when i look around, more and more teams participate in races, and in almost every tourstage, they will let a cyclist ride at 100% fitness... they win, they win money, their cyclists mood will be better etc... so creating a pointscalculation for the best team statistic would mean another advantage for this choice. guess this mooddrop-stuff is kind of a motivator for this tactic, so yeah i do not agree and best team statistics should stay as they are, thats why i post my opinion just like anyone else. haven't mentioned a teamname in this post, and it was not my intention to point a finger at certain teams in my previous one, appologies, i should have expressed it a bit better - in a hurry yesterday (training in my private life) no need to pick it up as if i am Russia and you The U S OF A.
