Question: Why abandon both old teams and new teams?
replies: 1 - personal reasons; 2 - lack motivation; 3 - absence of a precise regulation and a tutorial; 4 - NEW: It is not clear what strategy to use and the results of the races; 5 - MANY OLD TEAM: They Do not win as easy as the first!!!
In my opinion (and according to many) at least a hundred of those who have left, have been driven by the fact that while the old engine was much more simple and intuitive, the new engine is to study every time a strategy, understand the mechanisms and realize that YOU DO NOT WIN MORE TRAINING ONLY 1 SKIL!!!
The new engine is nice but not so intuitive!
With my friends from Team Italy we got commitment and slowly we were able to decipher something, but need help for everyone.
I think there are people who have never seen the forum, have registered and have not found a INSTRUCTION MANUAL on the site of the game and have left!
Solutions according to me:
1 - INSTRUCTION MANUAL in the game in English at least (updated); 2 - OLD ENGINE for the 4 and 5 series (so he is given the time to understand the game and adapt). 3 - NEW ENGINE for the 1 - 2 and 3 series.
to resolve any problems with the results, do two simulations at different times: the first three sets to 13 and the other around 19.
I try to help, along with my friends, the Italian teams. I find it easier course for the language, but for others??

too many cheaters who have not been punished in the past and are never punished now, are the bane of all management games, especially in the peloton where users are few ...

After watching the teams from almoust all divisions I can say that we are going to lose many managers.
I found out teams that don't login since the 1 week of December and some other teams that don't have riders or trainer.
So after the sunday update we will see the impact.

Nikeboy this team become bot because he goes bankrupt?reach -500.000?
DEIXEBRE SPRINT (75)
Because I see some riders in the transfer list with starting price.
I would like to say too that if this is the case we need to change the rules and before the team going bankrupt the game put 3 riders randown for sale given the oportunity to the team.

< 500 Down to 495 managers. I typed 'online cycling games' into Google - Peloton comes in on the 2nd page of Google's results. On the first page of results this site: www.onlinesportmanagers.com/games/cycling/lists and links to 6 online cycling games and gives each a rating - but no mention of Peloton... Not sure if there are other browser-based sports manager game sites that list and link to games, but maybe Peloton could get some much-needed new players from these sorts of routes?

478 managers and I have seen a lot of managers who hasn't logged in for a while, so this will even reduce more. I think Nikeboy deserves a statue for what he is doing, but we really need to find out why people quit. Isn't it possible to make a short questionnaire and send it to the "quitters" with only 3 or 4 questions why they have quit this game and what should have been done to prevent them from quitting.
I can make a few questions, but the only one with the e-mails is IP.
I certainly would like to know the reason why. Because now I think it is because too few people work on this game and it doesn't evoluate. It is a nice game but it needs finetuning. That is not a problem, but it has to be done. The message of IP that the restructuring of the newe division, probably won't happen next season is killing.
I also notice that fewer and fewer managers are active on this forum. Life seems to get out of the game slowly.
How are we going to stop this?

I want to weigh in on this one. I really liked this game and wanted to play it again after a break of like 2 years.
I started to build my team (a decent trainer, about 20 young riders and I wanted to get a youth scout in the future...).
So I started out, winning some races in 4th division I think. I didnt really earn alot of money but I got a cash reserve of about 300-400k at the end of the season.
I promoted and started in a much harder division. I tried, but didnt get great finishes. So then you got the option sell trainer, try to get it breakeven each week but this isnt simple when you simply cant win a race (or even get any price money)...
So to be honest with you, its simply too hard to start this game. I really like it, I really do, but there is no space for starters who slowly want to build their team as I did...
People who buy some riders at a low price and start to train them just cant win from the better teams and get punished really hard. At first you can promote because there are only 2 people really good and you end 1st and 2nd but then you cant win anything anymore and you cant even pay a trainer.
Now you can say 'he quits because he doesnt get an easy win' but I think I quit because I cant slowly build a team which can compete and that frustrated me. When I would have like 2-3 seasons in a low division I would have been ready to finnish in the top 10 sometimes which is impossible when you only play 1 season and then promote because there are alot of bots to a division way beyond your league!

Thank you very much for this feedback ! That's indeed a very important thing and I think that we can tackle this in different ways : 1. Smaller divisions and leagues. The intention is to decrease the number of teams to 12 per league and to decrease the number of leagues per division. This would lead to more divisions (div 8 and 9) with less teams. In this way (2 teams promote, 4 relegate per league, 6 remain), the opponents in a league should be more of the same strength. 2. I do think the new race engine gives more chances to weaker teams than the old engine. When I look at the different leagues, I see that the teams on the first 10 positions all have a significant amount of points. I.e. the tactics give you the oppotunity to shoot for a specific race and have a good chance to win this. In the old engine, the better cyclists would win ALL races, as there was no tactics involved. So finetuning the race engine futher is also a way to tackle this. 3. (thinking out loud here) More cashspread over the teams iso the winner takes it all ! Make sure that the 30th in the race also get some money, redefine sponsorships, create goals (race, week, tours, season) for which a weaker team can go and earn money (f.e. try to earn 10 sprintpoints, end with a youth cyclist in the top 5 of the final standings, try to win a race in the TdF, ...) Make the weaker teams compete eachother by, for example, creating multiple races per day and you can only participate in 1 race, so that the weaker teams can subscribe to another race than the stronger teams ...

Nikeboy, your ideas are good, but we both know this takes a lot of time to implement this and since IP isn't around a lot and you can't do it on your own, it isn't realistic at the moment. You have to find other people who can work on the game. In principle this is a fanatastic game, but it needs finetuning. Fast.
