Whats happened here? NO information??? A topic with 2/3 weeks and with 4,554 views is reason enough for the responsables tell what´s going on, in witch stage is the recover of the game, isn´t it? The responsable is working hard to restore the entire site, so he doesn't have time to spend here to inform people, I think Il Padrino is running against time to restore all to the latest update. maybe thursday all will be ok and the site will be open and all issues will be restored as it was the thursday on 12:45 before the downtime... nothing more

Sorry for the silence... Here's a little status: it's not online yet I thought that I could get the website running again this weekend, but it seems there is still a little problem on the server. I'm dependent on the datacenter on this, so it can only progress during the work hours (they charge triple during the weekend ). The server is back online, but the problem blocks a critical step in the process to re-configure the website after the re-install of the OS.

Thanks for some fresh info, IP. How do you think - is it possible to fix it until wednesday? I'm going on some short vacation on thursday (until sunday) and I'm not sure if I will have any Internet connection there (I'd just want to set some tactics a little bit earlier) Or maybe making Peloton alive again will take 1 week more (if we are talking about restart-on-thursday)? Greetings and good luck with it!

True, but on the other hand: it would be unfair to get the site running again and have races from day 1, as if nothing happened. 95% of the managers will not know it's back online and will miss a few days of racing before they find out. Can the site be restored, with the races delayed for another week? That way everybody has the chance to prepare themselves again.

I'm sure everyone who wants to play this game as soon as possible will also check the site now and then. But it would be nice to have the game running today and the first race on thursday. If not, also good...

If not, also good... I agree that a lot of people will check the site now and then, but not everybody. Let's face it: we will loose a lot of players because of this downtime, we don't want to loose even more because we start it up and get going straight away. That would frustrate a lot of players that don't check the site twice every day. Peloton can't afford that, or we will end up with just a few die-hards and we don't want just that, do we?

It would also frustrate a lot of players if the site was up and working but wont start imediatly. Eather way, it's up to IP, whatever you or I write...

I'm sure you can understand that the whole peloton-comunity can't wait on individuals becouse of vacations etc. Of course I understand! I didn't want IP to restart the game later just because of me - I just wanted to know if I'd have a chance to set some things earlier. I used " " at the end of my message because I wasn't serious in 100%. And that's all, no personal privileges expected As you wrote - it's up to IP so we just have to wait and be patient. Greetings!

This thread got me to thinking again (always dangerous at my age!)...
Because it's important to retain as many active team managers as possible, here are two thoughts that might help accomplish this:
1) - as I think was mentioned earlier, send every manager an e-mail as soon as possible once the Peloton is back up and racing. This will ensure we all find out at about the same time, is fair, and makes sense. I certainly won't object to a little spam from the Peloton!
2) - In addition to extending current Premium accounts for the down time (thank you!! ;D) - how about offering all non-Premium users a free month of Premium as a "thank you" for their patience? This would encourage them to log on in case they were undecided after the downtime, and might remind a few of them that they miss the premium features, resulting in some of them paying when the month is up. (I have no idea if there is a cost associated with giving someone premium status - but if there is no appreciable processing cost to IP, it will generate goodwill and hopefully a few more Premium sign-ups at the end of their month.)
Anyway - my two cents. Now it's time for my nap!
